Suitable. I washed half a liter of blueberries in one of these and put it in the fridge. We ate about half before leaving for a week's holiday. When we came back they were still fresh and edible.

They are slightly larger than the usual plastic fruit containers you buy at the grocery store. You need two packs each to fill them up, but the quality is very good.

I was looking for a fruit and veg bin that would make it easy to wash and then eat veggies. These containers have a built-in strainer! I love that I can wash groceries in the container and the water runs out at the bottom. So easy! They're a lot bigger than I thought. Made of very hard plastic. They are all the same size. I love the different colors it comes in. I get so many compliments on these containers! Great for kids and families.

When I bring groceries home from the supermarket, the first thing I do is take them out of the containers used by the clerk. Me find that these containers accelerate fruit decomposition. I moved the fruit to ordinary bowls but wasn't entirely satisfied. There were some benefits, but not as significant as I had hoped - and then I found out about these berry baskets. What a pleasant surprise.These containers have greatly extended the life of my store bought fruit which is exactly what I wanted.
