Comfortable but low means tall

I bought this last minute to fit an 8lb Thanksgiving turkey breast. The turkey breast on the bone was higher than I thought it would be, so I had to put it on the side. But the length is good. The lid on this one isn't very convex, if at all. So no extra height to eat under the lid. I set it to the minimum at 7:45 - apparently it was ready before noon. (The recipe suggested about 5 hours.) The temperature control is disabled for my taste.

Damn for the price and these red bastards convince, but good! However, I'm having trouble with the actual temperature. I'm a single dude who works for a bunch of OTs and gets busy as hell when I'm at home. I refuse to enjoy fast food, carp is disgusting and as tasty as I can imagine a piece of tinsel covered in cat dung served on a bun. Now back to the point. For large meals

I have two other multi cookers, 4 liter and 6 liter. I chose to add 8 liters to the mix as I sometimes need to prepare large batches of what I'm cooking, either for a large gathering or for cooking and freezing food. I chose the Crock Pot brand based on the reviews and the fact that all I needed was a basic slow cooker. I didn't need a timer for other things that many other multi cookers now have.
