Good RAM - Computers and Accessories

Compared to Asus tuf b450 pro mobo and 3600x. RAM initially didn't want to boot into the xmp settings and came out of the box at 2666MHz. It wasn't a RAM issue and it took me a while to adjust the mobo settings. but once everything was good, XMP loaded without problems and it works as advertised. 3600MHz and for anyone who keeps asking, xmp timings are 16-18-18-38. As soon as I switched my 3600x to 4.3GHz, everything seemed to work even better and "more solidly". Now I have 4.4GHz. Current…

Plug and Play Memory

I had a problem with my G.Skill RAM and needed a replacement urgently as I can't wait for days. I am ordering this memory on 02/11 via Prime. Not only did I get it on February 12th, I popped these sticks in, hit the XMP option in the BIOS and bam; and work. I haven't used critical memory since the old DDR days and am pleasantly surprised. Electronics is a dice game, sometimes even for top manufacturers. Sometimes it is your turn to receive a defective item. But today it wasn't me! Here is a…

Many setting changes may be required to achieve the stated speed.

I'm working on uploading screenshots from my example. In short, good RAM at a bargain price. OCd, up to 4133) in the Asus ROG Strix X570-F with Ryzen 7 3700X. Both sets of RAM had the same CAS latency of 16. After installing new RAM in all possible configurations, the system will not publish. Speed. I did some research and found that XMP needs to be enabled and is called DOCP in Asus terminology and can be found in the BIOS settings under "AI Overclock Tuner". Switched on and all settings are…

Perfect for X370 + R7 3800X = FAST!

I did a lot of research on RAM compatibility when I was in the process of upgrading the Ryzen 7 (R7) 1700 on my 1st Gen Asus X370 Gaming F-Mobile device and ended up going for it decided. I've used the much slower but reliable Ballistix 2400 DDR4 (4x 8GB) sticks and they've been great, but not 1:1 anywhere for Infinity Fabric (IF) speed. This introduced some sluggishness in some multithreaded workloads. However, I wanted to somehow "praise" my RAM along with my CPU. I was very concerned about…
