The pen works well and appears to be of the same quality as the OEM pen. The camera is ok, the picture is not as clear as other cameras I've seen. The camera appears washed out in brighter light.

In general this is decent value for money. However, this kit is not sufficient for correct installation. The 'instructions' are terrible, the included hole saw would not drill a single full hole in the plank, there were no grommets to keep the cable from entering, and my 08 SCAB F150 had the cable 10 feet shorter. Once installed it works like a champ and the picture is good day and night. You just need to have the means to drill your own holes and caulk them and be prepared to extend the cable.

I think I got a bad one, my camera regularly showed a red spot in the middle of the display. If you shift into neutral and then back into reverse, then everything is fine. just weird. As for the installation - as already mentioned, there are no grommets, the path shown in the diagram gave a rough idea of how to do it. Although I would like more details.
