not happy). I knew that Cryorig reported a 15% increase in performance in the Cu version over the Alu version. Because the side panel is so close to the C7 fan assembly, there is a known turbulence issue that I solved by replacing the drain. Fan with slim 92mm Noctua fan. It was easy to attach the 3D printed fan adapter to the heatsink, I also used paperclips to attach the C7 as a temporary fix with no issues. I got 1-2 degrees Celsius improvement in idle mode and 6 degrees Celsius full load on
I bought this cooler for my old Core i7-4790k as I was moving it to a small form factor case (Fractal Design Node 202) for gaming in the living room have room. . I knew it wouldn't be as efficient as the AIO water cooler I had before, but in a small form factor world, size matters more than performance. However, I found myself disappointed.1. My i7-4790k was thermally throttled under load (Aida64) meaning it hit 100*C even on default settings. I figured my GPU might be letting too much hot airβ¦
This is the best radiator of its size. If you need a sub 48mm CPU cooler, you won't find a better one. However, there are two problems with this cooler. First, it's a fan. This cooler uses the same fan but in a different aesthetic than the aluminum c7. It's known for being annoyingly noisy, and that doesn't change here. The fan is also custom mounted to the heatsink. So if you want to replace it, you need to buy an adapter or make another solution yourself. Second, this is the back. The backβ¦
