Inconsistently good for hauling products and winches

I bought two of these, they seem solid but the distance between the claws (holes) was different on each shackle. Because of this difference, you won't screw it up entirely. I need clamps with a slightly smaller pin than the Smittybilt 13047B and they have a slightly smaller pin with the same strength rating (4 3/4 tons). They worked for that specific purpose, but for any other use I'll buy a different Smittybilt.

Does what I expected and needed to do.

Fits to mount on the hinges in my bumper. The powder coating has held up surprisingly well for what I've been through. Yes, it's a bit scratched, but that's to be expected when you're hanging a large metal hook on it and carrying around logs. Don't worry about the strength. It never comes loose unexpectedly, but I tighten it by inserting a Phillips screwdriver into the hole in the pin and twisting.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Thick bracket. Although the paint is fading.

It seems to be very strong shackles. I have them on the front and back of my jeep. Red color fades very quickly. Less than two months old and they are pink. My friends call them my Mary Kay shackles and assume I sold enough makeup to get these shackles. Black also becomes grey. Nothing can be fixed with a can of Rustoleum. Update: The color on them is fading very quickly. The red is now a very light pink. Black turns gray where regularly exposed to the sun. I keep my Jeep in the garage when I'm

D-ring shackle parts

I ordered these based on the VERY limited technical information published by Revain in hopes that they would work. It's a metric, as noted by another reviewer. The shackle is just under 3/4" and the bolt is just under 7/8". The shackle has a lifting capacity of 4.75 tons. I never received a tracking number because I believe it was an international shipment. I read that CSI products are made in China. The powder coating had a few chips but looked good overall for only $20. I hope that some of…

Good value and value. unless it's from China lol

Expect them to arrive well packaged from seller but no matter what the paint will have chipped. But if you use or install them, you should expect them. Value for money was still better than I could find locally. I then went to a local hardware store and bought a short length of Styrofoam pipe insulation and cut out the customer "washers" so they wouldn't rattle on my AEV bumper. I cut the washers a bit thicker so I can squeeze them tight when installing. Works great, doesn't jump or rattle…

Great clip, great price!

These simple, high quality and durable items! I ride a few different Monteros and have often had questionable tires that sometimes required harnesses and restraints. A few years ago I was out in the snow on essentially 33-inch race slicks, so I dragged A LOT until I put the chains on. I've put these things around the ring many times and they've always been abused. chipped paint after a few years of use but otherwise good! actually only bought 3 more because of the 2 i had, i gave one to a…

Well made and beautiful brace

I recently purchased 2 of these brackets for my Expedition One front bumper on my FJ. They look sharp compared to other restraints I've used (see photo added). The surface is smooth and glossy, and the pen threads through fairly easily. The pin barely goes through the mounting holes in the bumper, which I like because there's no extra play to cause rattling. They came with stickers but peeled off easily and left no residue. In view of the nominal strength, the good workmanship and the price, I…
