CTA Tools 8231 Metric Restoring Review

A tool includes several different sizes of metric threads. With a file and this tool, I was able to fix a wheel stud without spending over $100 to replace a stud.

I was concerned that the product would not do what I needed. Like most other products I find online and on TV. But this time he hit the mark. This saves me $$$ on a motor swap. Which would be my only other option. Thanks for a great product!

The shape of the thread is correct, but there is no way to hook the file and remove the damaged material to repair the thread, it just rolls without biting. A booming business that I hoped would help increase efficiency was disappointing.

Good quality product, so good that I tried to order it twice before finally giving up and ordering another brand. Both times I received the standard version packaged as a metric. I even tested it on some metric screws to check if the file was mislabeled, no. Too bad this seems to be a regular issue as I'm not the first to report this issue.
