CTA Tools 98141 Pro Thread Tapered Review

Much cheaper than a trip to the mechanic. Knocked the cork out of my head on a 2000 Forerunner. I drove it for almost 300,000 so I decided to give it a try. Connects back to the road. If you have a similar problem but this kit. Super easy to do.

This tool from CTA Tools comes with THREE bits instead of six. 2 short and 1 long. Also, the threads on the tool do NOT cut as cleanly as a heli coil tool. It seems that the CTA product has less quality control. The sad part is you don't know it's a bad tool until you try it. And it's the same price as the heli coil tool. Worked well in an aluminum block for a tractor (Kohler K321). The tapered seat is good quality and I love that THIS guy doesn't have a lip sticking out of the block. Instead, you can insert the entire seat into the block and then, once you're flush, tap in with the tool provided to expand the seat's sidewalls into the block.
