We liked this cover because of its use in many scenarios. But it's very, very difficult. It is impossible to lift with one hand. In addition, the glass shattered when heated for up to 3 minutes and placed on the countertop. Please be careful when using, or better use silicone microwave lid instead of glass.

2-in-1: Bounced back, slippery to handle and heavy!

2-in-1 case; Everything is fine, nothing special, sent back immediately. It's very slippery and heavy, I can tell that at some point it will slip off the plate and break/tear or I'll end up dropping it. My search for the perfect plastic/silicone-free microwave lid for dinner plates continues. To be fair to the manufacturer I bought the 8" vented cap and it has a solid 5 stars but Amazon won't let me write a separate review so thought I'd let others know that the 2-in-1 is A 2 star product in my

Poor kitchen and food production

Buyers beware. I liked the concept of these and ended up ordering. Received and unboxed but upon closer inspection the vents are all cut and poorly trimmed and I didn't realize there were microscopic glass chips which even the product documentation said. Since it's very difficult to give back to Revain, I threw them away (along with a couple of pieces of wide duct tape that I used to pick up the broken glass). I have pets and was furious that they would get those pieces of broken glass in their

Aerated - no raw food!

So far so good. I like the fact that it has ventilation so the food doesn't get wet although there is some condensation inside. I suppose it would help if it had a handle, but since I only reheat things and not cook them, that's fine for now. Normally it doesn't take so long in the microwave that the glass gets very hot anyway. I just take it gently on the colder outer edge. Glass is very strong but not heavy enough to cause problems - even for the most healthy seniors I think. I haven't had…

Works better than you think + MORE PLASTIC!

A family member managed to melt our plastic microwave lid in the microwave. It was a cleaning nightmare and a wake up call. If a plastic lid can break down like that, then we've probably been eating outgassing plastic the whole time. This was the only well rated glass lid I could find. I was skeptical but it can lay flat on a turntable or large cymbal and the scalloped edges allow for ventilation. I put it on the plates. Although this seals them up we haven't had any issues in about 6 months of

Much better than other lids on the market

I switched to glass lids because I didn't like plastic in the microwave. Other glass lids on the market are thin glass with edges that break off easily. Many times I've accidentally bumped into the microwave door and had to throw my food away because broken glass fell off. I finally replaced it with this one and I love how thick and durable the pyrex glass is. It feels like it will last forever like most pyrex glass bowls. As well as being an excellent lid, it can also be turned over and used…

just a disaster. - Bakeries

I want to start by saying the glass lid is great. This seems significant. I was very happy to use it with my new microwave. It's also fine if you don't have 9-inch cymbals. Unfortunately I put it on a 9 inch Fiestaware disk the very first time. When I took it out of the microwave the plate didn't budge. I assume hot air escaped from under the lid and it was vacuumed when it started to cool again? Pressing on an edge of the plate caused the plate to come out, but that must have warped the glass…
