Pretty good for small appliances

Cuisinart is a trusted brand and after researching a few blenders I finally settled on this brand. After using this for a few weeks I have two observations.1. There is a seal between the blades and the container. Cleaning with some soap and 1/3 can of hot water is an easy way to clean the can. Unfortunately, the seal is not easy to clean. I found mold on the pad after two uses. I would recommend buying extra spacers.2. The instructions say to turn the blades clockwise to remove the blades. The…

Kinda skips over chunks of tough veggies without tearing them

This replaces a very similar piece of culinary art that I've loved and have owned for years, but with a little more power. But somehow this model skips large chunks of tough veggies like cabbage or carrots into the bowl when I use the shredder, no matter how I serve or the speed. My old one had 4 speeds and a pulse. It has 2 speeds and pulse which I use all the time. It also has an icebreaker setting that stops, moves, changes speed, and stops automatically. And makes more out of a snow cone…

Good blender, easy to use.

I've had several Cuisinart blenders and honestly I think they should last longer than they do now. At first I was disappointed that they switched from glass to plastic, but eventually plastic became easier for me to work with because it's lighter. The glass container was quite heavy. I like that the drain spout on this model has been moved so it doesn't drip at all. I LOVE the smoothie function. I just turn it on, press a button, and it will cycle through and stop automatically when it's done…

Just buy a replacement clutch and then everything will be fine.

I have been a huge Cuisinart fan for decades and have owned many of their products, I believe in the principle of 'buy well, buy once'. That was until I came across their customer service. The clutch fell off the driveshaft, and the result was a cocktail of frozen berries, bananas, and milk. This happened after a few months of limited usage. When I first opened the package I could see that this would be the part that would eventually fail, it has a lot of strain on it's design but assumed it…

Too many design issues. Simple things don't have to be so complicated.

Everyone was right about the fact that the lids could be removed from the baking cups. You have to get a charcoal opener and then it's still very difficult and as an elderly man with cancer and treatment has affected my joints with migratory arthritis I have given up the whole process and the blender and will be returning it. If you have weak hands, forget about ordering this blender. Even unscrewing the blender mechanism on a large tumbler can be difficult and frustrating if you don't screw it
