My best gift to myself in 2018

Received yesterday and used immediately. This was my 1st time and 1st time I had a bead maker. I used to do it by hand. I made a white recipe and replaced the butter with olive oil (3 tablespoons) and the milk powder with liquid almond milk. It worked well. Currently at the time of writing this review the machine is baking French bread. We love this car. Compact, perfect for my small kitchen countertop. It's lightweight and easy to wash.

  • Good product for the price

This is culinary art for the kitchen and dining room

I am baking my fourth bread (wholemeal flour) now and since buying it I hope it will be as tasty as my previous third. I don't eat much bread, but if I do I prefer it I make whole wheat bread, so it's cheaper (and more fun) to bake it yourself, and the Cuisinart bread maker is excellent, as are all the other Cuisinart kitchen gadgets. Spanish and Italian, and I also like to use the pizza dough function for homemade Romesco pizza or roasted garlic and pepper pesto. The price was also exceptional

Only if you're an expert

I wanted to save money in the long run as I'm on a gluten free diet and bought this machine. I was hoping that I would follow the recipe, put it in the car and get good bread with the gluten free setting. NO . NOT THE CASE. now folks who love it have made adjustments to the recipes by reading the reviews, adding something and "playing" with the mixes. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. It should be like a regular bread maker. You put in the exact ingredients and it comes out. I'm not a baker and I don't…

0/10 no success stories

I'm surprised by all the positive comments here. I consider myself a pretty good home cook, but this bread maker has me stumped! Every bread was a disaster! They usually sink in the middle and I'm very surprised because I'm using the recipes that come with the machine. What wasn't so airy wasn't the middle, it couldn't be used for sandwich bread. I made 10 items and all failed. I made cinnamon rolls following the recipe booklet and the batter was soup! I couldn't even understand how that was…

Slow, produces poor quality bread

Good news first. It's small and stable. The bad news. The fast bread cycle is already slow at 2:30. And all the quick cycles only make 1.5 pounds of bread instead of the standard 2 pounds in the recipe. All other bread baking cycles start after 3 hours, up to 5 hours each. This makes it very slow and the loaf of bread stays small. I baked 6 different loaves and none of them even reached the edge of the pan. My old bread maker pulled the bread up to the mirror! And he was 12 years old when he…

Easy to use, makes delicious bread if recipe is done right

So glad I bought this when it was quickly selling out due to the Covid19 crisis. I've baked about half a dozen loaves of bread in the last three weeks and have had great results overall. First, I saw several reviews that said the bread maker didn't have a spatula. At first I thought the same - note that the spatula is taped to the inside of the cardboard piece, which protects the manufacturer's inside from scratches. You should make it more obvious as I see people can overlook it and…
