I'm used to Pampered Chef but chose this one because it's Cuisinart and stainless steel. It's fine, but there are some minor issues. First, remember that this type of chopper is not a food processor. It's great for chopping peanuts, an egg, a quarter of an onion, etc. You can't put a whole onion in it (or the Pampered Chef Chopper)! Something that size needs to be cut into smaller pieces first. First, the plastic base doesn't stay in place. So when using this grinder, use it on a hard plastic board. Second, it can get noisy when in use. So if noise is an issue for you, don't buy it.
