My favorite coffee machine. Is always!

It was a great machine - my original DGB-900 lasted many years and the upgrade only made it better - the size of the coffee tray was increased so the tray and grinder stayed cleaner longer and required less cleaning than the original (still loved) design. Unfortunately, my Revain purchase was poorly packaged and arrived damaged. The seller has been great on returns and I will follow up if this model is back on the market. I replaced it with a DGB-700 but would happily buy another as a spare!

NOT WORKING CORRECTLY!

Updated after 1 year of ownership. - After you've had this thing for a year and Cuisinart replaced it once, stay away. It is very difficult to obtain the appropriate strength. If you adjust the grinder to the amount of water, you will get road tar. I have to set it to 2 for the whole pan, so I can't just make a few cups. If you brew without the grinder, it will turn off after brewing. Cuisinart replaced it for $10 to cover shipping, but they want you to send them a defective item and that costs

Extremely difficult to use

I am very disappointed in this coffee maker/grinder. Seems like you need to have a technical background to understand this. To do this, you must remove all parts and wash and dry each part every time you use the machine. It's difficult to fill the tank with water without making a mess, and I need a flashlight to see the water gauge on the side of the coffee maker. It's dirty and the carafe is so badly shaped that it's impossible to empty it without turning it completely upside down over the…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Faulty

We were dying to like this Cuisinart concoction. First you need to make boiling water and pour it into a carafe to heat it. Otherwise, if you don't drink your coffee within 30 minutes, it will cool down quickly. Second, and most importantly, when you pour coffee, it pours very slowly and drips, even if you make sure the lid is screwed on properly. Third, maintenance between pots is time consuming. And if you don't clean the grinder exactly according to the instructions, you'll end up with a…

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great coffee maker for the kitchen and dining room

I've been looking for the right coffee maker for years and have probably tried half a dozen cheaper models from 20 to 40 euros. area creator. I hate waiting to brew, burning coffee and the general degradation of coffee quality as brewers age. I read the reviews here and decided to take the plunge into a more expensive coffee maker; and i am very satisfied. I know there are reviews that it uses too many beans. Which is probably true if you're watering your beans on a 1-to-1 setting. I've found…

Best Fully Automatic

First of all I suggest you ignore all 5 and 1 star reviews. The 5-star folks mostly drink Kool Aid, and the 1-star folks are a bunch of whiners you wouldn't want to share Joe's cup of tea with anyway. I'm serious! ;o) Still, I like this car. He does everything (except buying beans and serving coffee in bed). You must hire a servant to manually grind and cook the beans if you want the best quality. However, there are a few caveats. We got the steel thermos version because my wife hates the burnt

Changed thermal jug causing coffee to get cold

After 5 years of owning a Cusinart Grind & Brew coffee maker with thermal jug, the basket door stopped closing. I was very happy to find the DGB-900BC. My previous model required 5 minutes of cleaning every day and between pots when I had guests. With this new grinder version, the grinder only needs to be cleaned every 7-10 uses (the basket still needs to be cleaned after each use, but is easy to clean). Upon arrival, I noticed that the 12-cup thermos was a lot lighter than my previous 10-cup…
