Browne 10-Inch Box-Type Grater: Optimal Tool for Efficient Grating Review

I'm used to using 4 sided open bottom graters that you find in the supermarket or an OXO grater which only has 2 sides. Thats much better. It has a bottom so you can store everything you grate in it and then pour it all into the bowl at once. It's also very durable, allowing you to lean over it for leverage when grating large chunks of cheese. So far I've only used 3 of the 6 pages.

I have a few Microplane graters but needed a good all round grater for those times when the food processor was too cool. This grater looks very well made, but I was a little disappointed with how sharp it is. This may be due to using microplane graters for small jobs and may skew my perception of "sharpness". I searched, researched and bought the perfect grater. I also looked at expensive microgliders. But to use everything I need I have to buy 4-5 of them! Too expensive. I saw this box grater from a friend of mine when we were making homemade laundry detergent with naphtha rock bars. This worked beautifully for bars. I searched on Revain and bought it for home use.
