1-1/4-Inch Receiver CURT 11265 Class 1 Trailer Hitch, Black - Fits Toyota Corolla (Select Models) Review

So far so good, fits great! I don't have a mechanical background and got used to it pretty quickly with a buddy in my 2016 Toyota Corolla LE. However, I would definitely recommend getting a long ratchet and bits for the job. The muffler side is a tight space and it's difficult to install the bolts without them, but possible.

Rides easy and looks great. I bought this because of the high gas prices and when I use my truck it gets 10/14 mpg. With it I can at least do some long trips fishing in my car. Now I know I can take my ice box and some fishing gear and save some money on gas by not using my truck!

Bought so I can tow my motorcycle trailer to Sturgis. Only 4 screws and very easy to install. Installed it myself in 20 minutes. I added Permatex Red Threadlock to the screws as I put them in for extra security. To get there I had to lift one side of the car. It fits snugly under the bumper so I can barely see it when I look at it which is all I was worried about! recommended

This was the easiest Curt hitch I have ever installed. The weld nuts face down and the exhaust didn't have to be dropped or anything. It was just a matter of aligning the holes and tightening the bolts with a 19mm ratcheting socket. I would recommend using a socket extension at least 6-10 inches long to clean the exhaust; The non-exhaust side didn't really need an extension, but I used a 3" extension anyway to avoid banging my knuckles against the bodywork.

When I made this purchase, I wasn't aware that anyone was making a tow bar for this car. In terms of cost and relative ease of installation, I think almost everyone should take the time to install one of these immediately after buying a new car. This improves the vehicle's carrying capacity, allows it to tow a small trailer and possibly other things, and stiffens the frame near the rear bumper. Great Class I towbar for attaching a bike carrier. The pre-drilled holes and the size/shape of the hitch will perfectly fit the 13 year old Toyota Corolla S with no modifications. Uses blue Loctite on the screws to keep them in place. My local body shop installed it on the car for me and it was so easy they charged me a very small fee to bolt it on while they did other work.
