Description of πŸ”’ CURT 25472 QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler: 2-Inch Hitch Ball, 3-in Channel, 3,500 lbs – Effortless and Secure Trailer Hitching Solution

ONE-PIN COUPLING. QuickPin is an innovative trailer coupler engineered to provide fast, hassle-free coupling with just one pin. It hooks up to your ball hitch simply by inserting the included 1/2-inch pin (included pin must be used, no replacements). NO LATCH. QuickPin is far easier to use than traditional trailer tongue couplers because it doesn't use a latch. No more jamming, frustration or complicated hinging components prone to wear out. NO ADJUSTING. QuickPin also doesn't require adjustments or tightening like traditional latch-style trailer couplers. Just drop the trailer tongue onto the hitch ball, insert the provided pin, and that's it. SECURE CONNECTION. This trailer hitch coupler can be mounted onto virtually any 3-inch wide trailer tongue beam, and it accepts a standard 2-inch diameter trailer ball (trailer mounting hardware not included). THOROUGHLY TESTED. Tested to SAE J684 specs and rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight, this trailer coupler ensures a safe, reliable towing connection.

Cannot block: Hardware

Not installed yet. Looks nice. Great concept but no way to block it. Installed now. Works and fits great. I ordered a 1/2 inch locking pin for this. I think that gives me the security I want.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

So less disappointment!

Very happy with this small update to our boat trailer. No frustration, easy installation. Highly recommend for anyone tired of dancing up and down their bumper to get the hitch off.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not bad, better clutch parts

Very light weight. Only used for a fairly small trailer. The pin lock is basic, but it has a downside: it has more play than a traditional clutch, so it rattles quite loudly on the ball when running empty.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Much easier: Towbar Accessories

I replaced the stock towbar with a latch as it was a bit rusty and difficult to close. This towbar is very easy to use and easy to connect to your trailer. No more clapping your hands or pinching your fingers trying to close the latch. With this setup, you simply remove the pin, plug it into your car, plug the pin back in and you're done - 5 seconds.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Compatibility

Doesn't fit my China made trailer

This looks like a great idea and I was looking forward to an easier way to connect. Unfortunately, the holes did not match the existing ones on my trailer. The horizontal spacing was correct and fitted perfectly, but the clutch didn't sit far enough. It was offset about 1/4 inch vertically, making it impossible to slide the bolt through the hole. I didn't want to drill extra. I don't know if it was a problem with the dimensions of my trailer or with this item. Too bad, otherwise it seemed like…

self-made arch. I chose this "boltless" coupler because the log bow would require frequent separations when retrieving logs on my 200-acre former woodland. The pin system looks like it will work well and the clutch is strong enough - probably a lot more than I really need; but I'd rather do more and rebuild lest I'm stuck in my forest with a 1200 lb ponderosa pine log attached to a flimsy broken wooden arch! When the bow is assembled I'll take a picture. and update this review.

Cons

Works better than I thought.

Bought to tow a trailer behind a motorcycle where my radiator stand was too close to the ball for a regular hitch. The holes matched well and it only took about 3 minutes to install. I drilled a padlock bolt to secure it. It rattles a bit more than a lever clutch (when properly adjusted), but is very stable.

Pros
  • WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT. The QuickPin also requires no adjustment or tightening like traditional snap-in hitches. Simply lower the trailer drawbar onto the coupling ball, insert the pin provided, and you're done.
Cons
  • Some bugs

The best that can happen to the trailer tongue

If you've ever worried about opening your trailer's tongue latch, this is what you need. I have four boats on trailers and one service trailer, so five trailers. I put one of these on my 17ft boat trailer and I like it better than any other tongue with a latch that requires me to put a lock on. I use a locking pin. It has a lot fewer moving parts which I like because once my trailer tongue broke because the guts in the latch got rusty and it all fell apart, luckily that happened in the…

Pros
  • NO LATCH. QuickPin is much easier to use than traditional towbars as it doesn't use a latch. No more sticking, breaking or complicated hinges subject to wear and tear
Cons
  • Not sure

Great clutch - much better than the old

A small used galvanized steel PWC trailer that I just bought have had a welded 1 - 7/8 inch pin ball hitch. All my cars have 2" ball joints so I wanted/needed to swap the hitch to make it easier for myself. The welds were cut clean, the mess cleaned up, then the tongue was painted. with zinc paint. The trailer tongue consists of two 1" x 3" rectangular tubing periodically welded together. added an extra outer washer to allow for some internal clearance. For this setup, the rear mounts were a…

Pros
  • SINGLE PIN CLUTCH. QuickPin is an innovative trailer hitch that can be connected quickly and easily with just one pin. It attaches to your ball hitch by simply inserting the 1/2" pin provided (the pin provided must be used, no replacement)
Cons
  • Large and bulky
