🚗 Curt Front Receiver Hitch for Toyota Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Tundra - 2-Inch Receiver, Easy Installation Review

Perfect fit, lower the 4 bolts holding the tow eyes, raise the hitch on the jack and reinstall the tow eyes with the 4 bolts provided. I would suggest applying penetrating oil to the bolts before removing the tow eyes. If a skid plate is installed, a 4" to 6" hole must be cut to allow for future oil changes without removing the clutch.

Installation was very easy. Unfortunately the receiver is not long enough so you will need to purchase a 7 inch extension for the 2020 Toyota Tundra. The extension reduces tongue capacity and weight by 1/2. Extension cords are available in different lengths. The 7 inch version I bought was $23, its price will go up to $100.

Installed in 7 minutes without recommendation. Simply unscrew the tow hooks at the front. Install the hitch with the screws from the hooks. I would recommend installing 1 bolt on each side and then using the other bolt to attach the hitch and hitch. Once that is done, remove the first screw on each side and properly align the hooks, secure and torque to spec (as tight as possible).

Just installed a 31198 Curt receiver on the front of my 2016 Tundra Limited 4x4 CrewMax. I will be using it with a Curt 31010 mounting plate to attach a winch to the front of my truck. Instead of cutting a hole in the skid plate to allow access to the oil filter (as recommended) I just removed the skid plate entirely and made a rough mount out of a strip of aluminum (from Lowe's) to hold the plastic front bumper in place. I removed the skid plate and used a grinder to cut a 4x5" hole for a future oil change per the manual than it did When it came time to mount the hitch, it turned out that there wasn't enough room for the lower bumper. However, the lower bumper is attached to the pan plate and allows for adjustment. Once I've pressed the bumper onto these brackets, the hitch fits like a glove. The clutch itself is not bad. Then again, CURT's customer service is a joke. Be prepared for a trip to the hitch bolt hardware store. Although the description says "ALL NECESSARY HARDWARE IS INCLUDED FOR A COMPLETE INSTALLATION", my machine did not come with the hardware. Curt's customer service refused to ship the new equipment and insisted that I use the old equipment. They took weeks to reply to my emails. I would recommend ordering a trailer through Uhaul.
