Curt 45006 Bolt-On 2-Inch ATV, UTV Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter: Enhance Towing Capabilities for Off-Road Adventures Review

I read the reviews and thought people just installed it wrong. Well I was wrong. I kept tightening it up and it just won't stay put. Make sure you check your actual towing capacity before worrying about it. My Honda Rancher 350 ES can only handle a 30 pound drawbar, so I ended up buying a drawbar. I would imagine this would come in handy for larger machines.

I liked this product. I've only used this once and had to make a backup. The hitch receiver adapter was not left in place. It slid sideways and the attachment didn't hold the receiver in place. I re-tightened the bolt and the receiver still slid sideways when pulling out, and when I spun with the trailer the hitch slid sideways. A small piece of metal didn't hold it in place. I may have to weld the parts together. Overall I like this article

After reading reviews and knowing this would hit me, I tried the anti-rotation plate and it still rotates, so I took the extra step and welded it to my mount. and spray paint it to make it look like a factory. It's there permanently, I don't plan on taking it off so it's not a problem for me. But overall the quality is good and durable, so that's a plus. 4 stars for now, could change to 5, let's see how things hold up.

Good: This hitch is easy to install and adds the versatility of a 2-inch receiver to ATVs that already have this feature. The Bad: This receiver only has one quad mount screw, which common sense will explain many of the issues described in other reviews. I bolted it to the rear of the drawbar of my Kioti CS-2410 tractor. This allows me to insert different two inch rods into this receiver as needed. I used to have to screw on everything that was needed at the time - a trailer ball, a towing shackle or a chain hook, whatever. Switching is so easy! Despite the anti-rotation plate they created to soften the curve it's still a problem. Turning would be a lot worse without the plate, but still annoying. I tighten it with a large socket wrench all the time and can't think of a better way to fix it without welding it to the tongue/mounting point on the quad.
