DEPENDABLE STRENGTH. This ball hitch is constructed from high-strength steel and is rated to tow up to 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (limited to lowest-rated towing component). VERSATILE USE. This trailer hitch ball mount comes with a 1-1/4-inch x 1-1/4-inch shank to fit virtually any industry-standard 1-1/4-inch receiver. The ball mount also has a 3-1/4-inch drop and 2-5/8-inch rise to promote level towing. READY TO TOW. Hitching up your trailer is easy with this 1-1/4 ball mount. It features a 3/4-inch hole to accept a trailer hitch ball with a 3/4-inch diameter shank (trailer ball sold separately). CORROSION-RESISTANT. For long-lasting use, this ball hitch is protected with a durable black powder coat finish, easily resisting damage from rain, dirt, snow, road salt and other corrosive threats. EASY TO INSTALL. To install this class 1 hitch ball mount on your vehicle, simply insert the shank into your vehicle's 1-1/4-inch hitch receiver. The rounded shank makes installation easy. Then, secure the shank with a hitch pin (sold separately).

As promised for towing and winching products

I needed one of these, I looked for one, they said what it was and it was exactly as promised. What a refreshing concept these days

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing

I hope it fits your hitch better than mine!

Looked great, weld was finely powder coated, ok, just one problem, it's too tight on the handset, doesn't stick well, I have to use a hammer in and out!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Brand quality at an affordable price!

It's great that we can get a ball, clutch and pins for less than $30 from a well known company like Curt. Every detail of machining, welding and chrome plating has been carried out to a high standard. Sure it's class 1, but that's only for towing my log splitter on my Subaru.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not true to size: tow and winch item

I ordered one and had to return it. It took a lot of effort to fit my hitch and remove most of the protective paint. I used a hammer to remove it. I sent it back thinking it was just defective and got another one. Still doesn't fit. I think it's just thicker protective varnish because it's a millimeter larger.

Good clutch attachment to external accessories

Not many faults here, it's just a piece of metal. I saved a lot of money by ordering from Revain but had to wait almost 3 weeks for delivery. Be sure to order a 1/2" coupling pin, this device does not come with it. I found that my replacement hitch pin for my 2" receiver was too big for this 1-1/4" hitch. So I had to drive back into town to buy a new, smaller clutch pin.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • old

Will not fit Class I receiver

I purchased this ball mount for use in a Class I receiver which was dealer installed on my CX5. I was amazed that the rod didn't even start going into the receiver slot, that never happened when I bought class III ball joints for my pickup. The powder coating appears to be very thick and is probably out of spec. I had to send it back as it was completely unusable.

Pros
  • good so
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Cover removed to fit Drawtite hitch

I bought this for a Drawtite hitch on a 2004 Pontiac Vibe because it gave me the proper flotation for my boat trailer and the required Drawtite mount MUCH too sticking out far behind. But when I started to install it, it didn't slip into the hitch. It looks like the powder coating on the hitch and bracket was so thick they couldn't match. A little filing to open the hitch helped, but not enough. I had to use a bench grinder on the mount to remove most of the coating where they slide together…

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Blank
