Faulty connector in hardware

I originally wrote a good review about this product. I wrote that it was easy to connect and all my lights, backup camera and alarm worked as before. Actually I didn't manage to connect anything to the 4 pin connector because my plans changed and I didn't use it as planned. Well, three years later I bought a trailer tent and plugged it in and it didn't work. . First I found and repaired a broken wire under the plastic cover. The only thing that worked were the parking lights. Blinkers and brake

Works great but consider buying 56278

I originally bought this for my 2015 Ford Explorer to tow my new FlagStaff 206LTD retractable camper. Make sure you check the type of plug in your trailer, or that you plan to unplug it, before purchasing this. I have found that many newer trailers like my RV come with a 7 pin plug and this is a 4 way static plug. Other trailers still use the 4-way trailer, as does my neighbor's boat trailer. I wanted something that would both work with 7-way and easily adapt to 4-way if my neighbor needs help.

Pros
  • connectors
Cons
  • cable is shorter than other options

A good product. It's easy when you know what you're doing.

, Yesterday I finally found the time to install these. It ran as expected and works with my car headlights and trailers on my 2015 Ford Explorer. However, I had two problems and it took longer than expected. I wish I had an elevator! First, it was difficult to disassemble the Ford fork. Lying on my back with mud falling on my face, I struggled to tear it apart. I ended up squeezing the little bracket as hard as I could and pulling as hard as I could and it popped. I then glued the matching ends
