Description of 🎨 Clear Masking Film/Frisket for Artists, Airbrush Graphics, Automotive, Motorcycle - Custom Shop 6x30 Roll: Tracing, Cutting Templates, Stencil Making, Lettering, Design Transfer Paper Tape

Custom Shop 6" x 30' Roll of Self-Adhesive Clear Masking Film/Frisket Tape. Medium-Tack. Use for tracing and cutting templates, making stencils and lettering, transfer tape, and as a secure masking tape. Ideal for custom painting applications, as it can be used when airbrushing to create automotive and motorcycle graphics like flame painting. Cut and lift film pieces to expose your design areas to be painted. The transparent film bends around curved surfaces like motorcycle tanks, helmets, and automotive body contours. Great for auto masking purposes or use as a transfer paper for vinyl. The clear film adheres securely to surfaces and can be written on with a pen or marker. It cuts cleanly and easily with a razor or knife and can be easily removed and repositioned. Solvent-proof masking film that leaves no adhesive residue and will not lift underlying paint. It does not bleed or loosen under airbrush spraying.

Great for airbrushing!

Works great on smooth surfaces. Made of paper, therefore wrinkling on deformed surfaces. A slightly tacky adhesive is perfect and leaves no residue but is tacky enough that it can be removed and reapplied and still stick. I wish I had ordered a larger roll.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Lots of materials, best in body repair tools

Works best only on paper but when trying to mask something on a board or wood it doesn't really stick 5 minutes after applying, it came loose by itself, which was very frustrating as I had a project to finish.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Annoyed

Good masking material

Not exactly what I was looking for in an airbrush frisket. But as a masking paper it works great and its adhesion is spot on as it wasn't so heavy that it lifted the paint or bled underneath. I will buy it again but more for general camouflage and not as an actual airbrushed frisket. In the 35+ years that I've been airbrushing, it's been a very long time since I've found something that works well. Most of them are too difficult to cut or too much glue or not enough etc.

Pros
  • New to my collection

Bad for decals

The tape barely sticks to itself - had to throw away the first ten feet and even after that it's not tacky enough to use for decals. It gets the job done RELATIVELY - I was able to put on some door vinyl for my studio after buying a new plotter, but I can't justify using this transfer tape for all the decals I want to sell and for my purposes I need to review 1 If you're looking for a low tack film for airbrushing or painting you'll probably be fine, but don't go for vinyl decals.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Will not stick to painted canvas (fine art painting) but will stick to most types of paper (not heavily textured). Sticks well to most smooth surfaces; painted metal, plastic, melamine, glass, plexiglass, poly. Less sticky than Blue Sensitive Tape 2080. Will not stick to bare wood. Doesn't stick well to loose things, but will stick to things with a hard backing so any movement will loosen it. Doing something simple on metal or plastic might work, but be careful with pressurized paint as it can…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Great off-road protection

I used it to protect my car's paintwork on a tour. Most people use 3M blue masking tape, but it's papery, flimsy, and ugly. This film adhered to painted surfaces and transparent BH surfaces for two days without removal. It will stick to the paint better than itself, so keep the overlap to a minimum. It was baked in the sun but left no residue when removed. Removing the blue tape usually results in tears and fragments that need to be scraped off with a fingernail. This material is tear-resistant

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I don't like it, everything is fine

Translucent/transfer foil TCP Global

This product does not correspond to the advertisement. HE IS TOO HARD. ** Cut easily and cleanly with a razor or X-Acto knife. ** Adheres securely to surfaces and prevents splattering. Residue**Can be easily removed and repositioned**Translucent; You can write on it with a pencil. I tried using this to draw the center of a car wheel and it didn't stick. Only works on a flat surface. The film is too stiff and the glue needs to be a little stronger. I ended up using masking tape and cutting it…

Pros
  • also understandable for vintage cars
Cons
  • Some small things
