Will not fit - DO NOT recommend

2004 Accord V6; bought for $9.99; The key shell does not match the keyhole (as mentioned). I just slowly drilled one more hole in the jacket and thought this was no longer a problem. I made a kind of pre-screw and used the included screw to screw in the key case, key and one side of the remote. I removed the screw and then snapped onto the other remote cover. He flared up. I reinstalled the screw with some work since the removed hole didn't line up with the keyhole. Finally finished, but theโ€ฆ

Don't pay $180 for a Honda

I went to Revain when one of my 2008 Honda keys fell apart. I was willing to pay over $150 for a reprogrammed key from a Honda dealer. It seems that the charge has changed. When I checked Revain to see if my key was available I was surprised! I bought two sets of placement keys for less than $10. I thought what do I have to lose? So I ordered a set of 2 and they arrived at the house! Ten minutes later I opened the kit and assembled it. Went into the garage and put the key in my pocket thinkingโ€ฆ

First of all, do not believe the negative reviews. The screw hole is a bit offset to the hole, but this allows the key to fit well in the housing. Now that we've got that out of the way it's a little tricky to assemble. How to install it correctly: When you open the bag you will see 3 plastic parts. Take the smaller part of the key and place it all the way down on the key (it will take some effort to get it out). Once the smaller part is on the key, look closely at the notches on the sides ofโ€ฆ

Does what it says on the tin as long as you read the manual

If you read the reviews you probably read the manual 1) This is a plastic key case which is an adequate and inexpensive replacement for the OEM Honda key box. 2) Because it is just a plastic key case, it has nothing to do with whether the car starts after the key is put in. 3) Your old broken Honda key case has TWO main components that need to be installed in the new key case to make it work: a) Keys b) Transponder 4) Most of the negative reviews are from people claiming that your car didn'tโ€ฆ

BEWARE! Hidden anti-theft device, NOT mentioned in the instructions!

ATTENTION! A hidden anti-theft device NOT mentioned in the instructions needs to be removed from the old key fob to a new one in order for your car to start! My Honda Accord is 2007 so I had no idea it would have this kind of technology. The manual says absolutely NOTHING about it even though the new key fob ordered was for a 2007 Honda Accord. It was a complete 48 hour nightmare after changing that fob when I didn't realize my car wouldn't start because the old one had an anti-theft deviceโ€ฆ

Pretty good solution. Agreement 07.

Still a good cheap repair. Any issues reported in negative reviews were resolved by flipping the part or adjusting my assembly technique. I read a few reviews that said the jack didn't slide over the button. far enough to align the screw. If this happens, turn the key and try again. The flat blade of the wrench looks fairly symmetrical, but it isn't, and only fits properly into the plastic sleeve in one direction. Some of the negative reviews stated that the case didn't close tightly andโ€ฆ

Did the trick! Fits key cases

My Pilot 2014 key fob's plastic case ripped, causing the metal part of the key to hang down. My wife took the key to the local Honda dealership and they charged $185! I read the mixed reviews and decided to give the $10 double pack a try anyway. All the reviews that said the screw was misaligned were true, so I drilled the smaller hole with an 1/8" bit and it worked. How can it go and a bit of olive oil helped and you need to make sure you line up the 2 pilot holes in the shroud with theโ€ฆ

Not a perfect fit and the included screws are too long.

I bought this because the OEM key for my Honda Accord 09 sedan broke. I bought 2 packs in case I screwed up and I'm glad I did. First, the part that fits over the key doesn't go in completely flush. You need to insert the key and push/pull the small piece of plastic to the base of the key. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't align the screw holes. As a result, I had to cut/break off this piece. On the second try, I pushed/pulled the plastic part all the way. Then I installed the key. Iโ€ฆ
