Description of CyclingDeal - 26-inch x 1.95-inch Mountain Bike Bicycle Slick Wire Bead Tires for MTB Hybrid Bike - Blackwall, Pack of 2

COMPATIBILITY: Slick MTB/Hybrid Road and Trail tire. Less aggressive tires for street use. Size 26 by 1.95 inches. Recommended PSI range 40-65. QUIET & SMOOTH RIDE: Patterned after motorcycle tires for low rolling resistance and traction. Dramatic improvement in handling and grips turn without any hint of slippage. Much quieter and less effort to pedal. QUALITY DESIGN: Wire beads increase durability. Blackwall sides for a lighter weight profile. Directional grooves channel water to the outer tire edge handling wet pavement extremely well. GREAT FOR COMMUTING: Perfect on concrete, asphalt and hard-packed dirt trails. You get much leaner and corners much smoother than the knobby tires. Smooth over the potholes as well. ORDER NOW WORRY FREE! We're so confident about the product quality that we can provide a 1-year warranty! Made in Taiwan.

Fine. Hardly. good for tires

These tires are fine, ride pretty smooth, but I don't agree with that particular "roof" shape they have on the tread. It puts extra rubber and weight on overhanging "cornices" that rarely, if ever, make contact with the road, while leaving the center section (which makes the most road contact and wears out the fastest) too flimsy. I prefer round tires and preferably no tread grooves when driving on paved surfaces. or on anything other than grass and loose soil. The small footprint and high…

A smart tire that absorbs bumps. Just make sure it's your tire size.

Funny thing about bike tire sizes. Just because it says it's a 26-inch tire doesn't mean it's 26-inch wide. This is especially true for old bikes. So make sure the size matches what you are replacing to get a good fit. That being said, I have to disagree with a previous comment about the impossibility of aquaplaning on a bike. I've ridden over 65 mph out of the mountains and I normally cycle 25 mph on the flat. That's more than enough for aquaplaning. At high speeds you lean heavily towards the

The Tioga City Slickers

are strikingly similar to the old ones. At that time the road was very muddy and the steep inclines (10-15%) were too much for my road bike, so I hybridized my mountain bike with Mitsuboshi's (no typo) Tioga City Slicker tires from Japan. I opted for a wider version of the tire in the back and they could handle 90psi. This configuration allowed me to use my lower mountain bike gear but still have the ultra-low rolling resistance of road tires on my way to the 14,110-foot summit. These…

Confident, smooth and durable

My old vintage Diamond Back mountain bike has a relatively tall cross country frame and no suspension, so it was primarily used as a road racquet. But it was recently moved to the other end of the garage because of the dried pine cones. Old tires just make it harder to drive and frankly don't inspire confidence when cornering and braking. When I received these new 26 x 1.95 road tires it was an opportunity to rediscover how much fun it is to drive. can be a good, durable, multi-speed road…
