I like the vibration function for young dogs.

The controller feels good and easy to use. The product has a long range and works every time. I recommend it to anyone who wants to train a dog.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

Good quality: Collars

Good quality and battery life. All settings work fine. We have a large to medium sized dog that we bought them for and use them on many acres of land. They survived the adventures of the dogs in the water, in the manure heaps and in the forest.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Safety

Quality Unit - Collars, Harnesses and Leashes

Easy to program as you like for a quick start - clear buttons and large loss range. You must have a screw-on or snap-on muffler. Rubber is not bueno

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model.

We love it and highly recommend it for training and hunting

This collar saved us! Our German Shorthaired Pointer loves to run. I know what isn't. It works through neighboring houses, walls and vehicles. He responds very well to that. The only thing we have trouble with is that the battery wobbles, so we put some foil over it to keep it in place. We love it and highly recommend it for training and hunting.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • boring packaging

Poor distance design on electronic training collars

Short distance. The collar rattles and sounds like it's broken, but seems to be working fine. The beeper is sometimes difficult to turn on or off. The biggest downside is the remote control that the battery is attached to. I dropped the remote in a field which caused the battery terminals to bend/push up and all connections to come loose. This is an easy fix, but not without a small screwdriver to get at the battery.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Unreliable

. I bought this to replace my old DT which I bought in 2004. I think I fixed the charging port on the old one because it still worked fine, but I decided to just buy a different one. Works great and keeps the dog's attention just by beeping. I rarely have to use the shock function. DT makes a good product!

Pros
  • . Very impressive
Cons
  • . Almost never

These qualities will appeal to any mountaineer.

I've been using the collar for about a month. I use it in Brittany. He is our hunting dog and pet. The range of the device corresponds to that declared. Some reviews question the walk and hover functionality. I found mine worked fine. When the dog is running, the beep will sound about every 5 seconds. The point beeps approximately every 3 seconds. You have to listen to the difference. It would be nice to change the tone, not the time. Maybe I missed this feature if it says in the instructions…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • A lot

We should never hit our dog. A vibration is enough.

Our 9 month old puppy did what puppies do, he was naughty. He needed some sort of redirect, so we decided to buy this training collar. I hesitated because I didn't want to kill my dog. He is now 12 months old and doing great! We just have to press the vibrate button for The First Command to hear it. (well technically if he was listening to The First Command I wouldn't have to vibrate him lol). Due to the area we live in, we tend not to walk our dog on a leash. He knows the boundaries of his…

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Don't remind me
