Seems very well built and sturdy,

I've tried several external DVD-RW drives. They ranged from "you get what you pay for" models to well-known high-end brands that either never worked well or quickly failed. This seems very well constructed and works very well. I really like the sturdy case which makes it sit securely on your desk. It's also a lot less noisy than any others I've used. I recommend it if you've had problems with other DVD-RWs you might be using. This is a very good drive in this price range. I'll keep an eye on…

Worst CD reader I have ever bought

This product did not work, did not write or read a CD and so was returned for a refund which was kindly given with no questions asked.

My computer picks it up and reads it

So take it straight out of the box and plug it straight into a USB port, no problem. and my computer immediately picked it up and downloaded the software needed to run it. It made an odd noise when it first started up, but I put it on a shelf to make sure it was flat, opened it up, and then tried again. And then it worked smoothly and it was like an old computer that only had one. It sounded like it. I compiled my program, it works fine. And since I didn't have it on my computer, I have it now,

Easy to use and great for organization

I'm so happy I can finally play DVDs on my computer! Setup is very easy, just plug in your USB stick and away you go. It also comes with a TYPE-C adapter if you need one. Another thing I thought was really cool is that it has a nice place to put the wire when you're done. This makes it easy to keep everything together and organized.
