The dress itself is well made but I would advise girls wearing it to wear a sports bra underneath as there is a bit of marking in the bust area especially when they start to grow boobs. My daughter is 10 and wears a size 14/16 so I bought the largest size (XL) and she still had room so I could go down a size. Overall the clothes are good for the price so I would recommend them. I ordered a size 8-10 for my 9 year old. It was too long and it dragged on the floor. She couldn't dance in it like that so I had to cut it about 4-5 inches long to fit. The upper half is too loose, but goes through. If I have to order again I'll probably order a size down for her. This dance dress is just perfect for young dancers! It is made of durable material, has a conservative age-appropriate cut and offers a comfortable ride and a smooth ride.
