Pins don't come pre-soldered

I was hoping they were already soldered like the pictures. I don't have a soldering kit myself, so I wanted these. At least the connection works.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long wait

Wrong initialization

I am testing the CardInfo sketch provided in the example sentence with MEGA. The reader's work is discovered when you first execute a sketch. After that it will not be initialized. I have to eject the card and then reinsert it for the initialization to work. Completely wrong behavior.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Not what was in the photo...

Came unsoldered, different from the picture when I bought the product. Not something I wanted to deal with so I ordered pre-soldered

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Fits

Reliability - Single Board Computer

Tried to use it on the Mega board, everything worked fine but then the errors started. After a lot of research I may have figured out why. This may be because this device only wants to work on 3.3V. I used 3.3V for power but the data lines are 5V. I ordered another brand that is rated to run on 5V. I'll see if it's my problem. Also, it looks well built and I expect it will work fine in a 3.3V system.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I'm nervous

Product not as described

I ordered the short version, they came in one piece. easy enough to take apart. but they have already been shown connected to header pins. They came separately. To stay updated.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Many items

Reliability is good for single board computers

I tried to use it on a mega board and it worked fine, but then I started to get bugs to get.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Not working properly

Something seems wrong here. I wish I knew what; maybe i could fix it. SparkFun microSD Transflash Breakout works fine in my app (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZZHX5R2). They look like they would be even better with the addition of some resistors and capacitors which I was hoping would pull up the floating lines and capacitors to smooth out the performance. And they obviously cost less. But when they are installed, the SPI communication with the SD card only works sometimes, somehow, sometimes…

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Security
