Good choice for size and stability

This molded shoe works well. It can be easily adjusted in all directions and the wide leg strap makes it very stable. My PT wanted details so she can recommend it to others she has worked with. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that an elastic ankle strap attaches to a Velcro strap that sits on the outside of my foot, well down near the ground. With a knee-length cast and limited flexibility, it is difficult to achieve this special closure. Opening is more difficult than attaching.

Here are the pros and cons

I recently broke 2 toes near my big toe and the tip of my foot but I am a mom, pet owner and work so life couldn't just stop me. So I looked for boots that would allow me to take care of my kids, pets, work and home with the simplest of boots. I wear a women's size 9-91/2 and was recommended the large size, but I find the large size to be a little big and heavy so it doesn't hold my fingers like it should. This makes me feel a little more protected from further injury as the outer shell isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Does its job well Supports for legs and feet

In the middle of winter I broke my ankle and they put me in a cast. I couldn't load it, but the boot helped keep my foot clean when out in the snow and winter slush, and I was also happy to have it when I had to use public restrooms. I wear a size 9 (male) shoe and ordered a large boot and with my first cast my toes landed right on the edge of the boot. A few weeks later I had a new cast put on and there seemed to be less material on the back as I had about 1 inch of clearance from the top ofโ€ฆ

  • Weight

  • There are other interesting options.

If you have to walk, you have to walk

Nice cast boot so you can walk on a cast. Disclaimer: Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding weight bearing on an injured leg or foot. Coming on too early can lead to poor healing and a longer recovery time. Okay, that's not on the way! This is a solidly shaped shoe, like a stylish black high-top Converse. It's a little harder to put on than the flimsy shoes most doctors give out, but it won't slip or slide, protecting your toes and making walking safer and easier. I have issuesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent goods. Facilitates movement

Great product. Makes movement much easier. The bottom of the boot is very well made and should hold up well for 4-6 weeks while I wear in cast. The boot prevents the throw from touching the ground and is therefore cleaner, while the large flat bottom provides extra stability. Size is always an issue with something like this. I wear men's shoes 10.5 so I ordered a large size in molded boots. It's about 12 inches long. In hindsight, I may have ordered the extra large because my toes protrudeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Good but not great
