The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the installation requires the purchase and installation of an additional corner tube to avoid hitting the rear of the fog lamp. However, I love the engine's throaty growl from the moment I install it. I also painted the air intake to match my Eclipse to give it a more custom look.

I drove 92,000 miles in my 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse before adding this cold air intake. I was skeptical as the price is so cheap. My friend installed it for me with no problems that I know of. Let me just say that I can tell a big difference. My car feels like a completely different car. More responsiveness, deep, full-bodied sound when accelerating. I can't recommend it highly enough. Very nice and they received it earlier than I expected.

It only took about an hour to install. Not quite suitable for Eclipse model 09-12, but still doable. The filter rubs a lot on the fog light housing so I bought an elbow pipe to keep the filter from touching it as several holes broke in my hydraulic shield after a month of driving. Seems to be a well built kit for the money. Installation was pretty easy except I had to pull out the factory resonator box. I found it easier to access by using a long extension with 10mm bolts and then removing the driver's side headlight and wheel arch liner. The filter itself fits but definitely interferes with the fog light housing. If the tube had been bent a little more, I don't think it would have rubbed as much. So I bought this for my Eclipse Gs when I had it and it was exactly what you want for a cold air intake. The inlet will recede behind the fog light housing and doesn't seem to have enough clearance so I removed the fog light. But to be honest it works like a direct intake because where the fog light used to be there is a hole that directs the air into the intake filter because it's right behind it so you can expect COLD air.
