I cook a lot and use a lot of garlic. This works well when you need large chunks of garlic in a dish. For larger chunks, garlic doesn't overwhelm other flavors. But if you need very fine garlic, this will not help. I've tried running garlic through this more than once, but it doesn't work that well. I'm glad I have this, but for me, the garlic press makes very small chunks of garlic.

I ordered a garlic press and got a garlic peeler as a gift. I've seen these garlic peelers before but never owned one. They are amazing! So simple and yet so effective. It will clean your garlic in no time. I also like the garlic rocker/crusher. Again a simple design but made of stainless steel, not chrome or aluminium, it's made to last! Both are great products. I would buy it as a gift for friends and family.

Firstly I don't know what stainless steel is because it smelled like metal. It doesn't do much other than crush the garlic. A few broken pieces got stuck in the large holes and had to be poked out. The bonus garlic maker doesn't look like high quality silicone. It was hard plastic with a strong smell of toxic plastic that wouldn't wash off. Peeling the garlic didn't help either. He was very big and tough.

I use a lot of garlic in my cooking and have been through many different presses and grinders, but I love this one. It's strong enough to crush garlic like a champ. And all the garlic you mash is collected at the top for easy transfer to pots and pans. It cuts the garlic into chunks and doesn't crush it, which I like. Plus, it's easy to clean and because it's rustproof, it doesn't absorb odors, so your cupboards and drawers won't smell like garlic. TO WIN

This chopper requires a bit of muscle power, so it's not for those armed with pasta. It's impressively heavy, so it's pretty durable. The holes are a bit big but that makes it easy to clean. I hated how difficult it was to clean my garlic press with its tiny holes and crevices. My only issue is with the included "silicone" peel tube. This is a clone of the Joseph & Joseph version. I had their first version with a metal core and plastic handles and it's a great kitchen tool (and I really don't like most kitchen tools, I usually use a knife). I used to spend an hour peeling 4-5 heads of garlic with a paring knife. Time is reduced by at least 30% and effort (eye, arm, neck and back fatigue) by at least 80%. You'll still need to break the onion into cloves, but simply sticking a clove in the pod and rolling it out to separate the skin is no hassle and very little effort to remove the remaining skin.
