perfect for finishing our porch railing post. They look great, stain easily and have held up well so far (but have only been installed about 6 months).

One of the best post toppers I've ever seen

Bought three for a client after matching the color and applying a small amount of stain REALLY A LOT added to the pressure treated post used for plant trellis. One of the best post toppers I've ever seen. AND REAL COPPER!

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons

They replaced metal with plastic

I ordered a second set after installing a few last year. The new version looks the same, but the upper part is made of copper-plated plastic (the old one is metal). It looks identical right out of the box and I hope it holds up to the same weather as the others (which turned green/grey over time).

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Available in white only

Beautiful cedar choker with PLASTIC COPPER top

NOT REAL brass. Beautiful cedar neckboard with a COPPER COLOR PLASTIC top. The product description says: Copper connector for 4x4 poles on the Victoria Plateau. Cedar wood base. metal plate. Suitable for 4X4 nominal bars measuring 3.5"X 3.5". Protects wooden poles from bad weather.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons

Very sharp! on Building Supplies

This is my second set of copper post caps and I am very happy with them so far. I bought my first set from the "Big Box" store and they seem to be the best quality. Over time, the first set literally fell apart. I think they are more durable. Copper tips enhance the look of your posts, especially at the entrance.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons

Good but not real copper

Not real copper. They look good and are good value considering the woodwork on the floor and they are solid. I absolutely would not return them, but I need real copper caps to match other copper design features. I think they are pewter or steel painted a nice copper color with a light clear finish. Nice but not what I thought they would do on their own.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

Attractive design, easy installation

I ordered eight of these to complete my patio project. I found the profile unique but not overly flashy. The wood paneling on the underside suits the craft style design well in my opinion, with square corners rather than curves. For the price, this is a fantastic way to add some extra flair to your post headers without going too far. I attached with silicone and decorative screws and it was a breeze.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Decades ago I had pointed hats with a great patina on the original fence.

Yes. Decades ago I had pointed hats with a great patina on the original fence. But the outer wooden base started to crack after a few (although probably 30+ years). I need to take a small brush and paint a spot that is a good design for 17 post caps. But the product is legit and this alternative flat top style looks pretty cool. Looking forward to placing them after messing up the whole fence. Still need to find videos on You Tube on the best way to secure them (silicone, glue, etc?). The…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
