These do a pretty good job blocking light even though they don't have a rubbery backing. I have blinds too and I can see a bit through them but not nearly as much as the curtains which I had before. I feel very good for the price.A con is that there is no pleating to them. When I got them I didnt' have an ironing board so there are wrinkles and I can't make them "pleated". When I received these I was a bit skeptical because they felt so lightweight. I almost returned them without opening the package. I could not find curtains of the correct length at any department store near my home. I ordered these because I often work over night shifts and I am extremely sensitive to light when trying to rest. Not bad quality but it would not slide over the dauphine curtain rod already installed. So I had to return it. I was not happy about the $10 fee incurred because I chose not to go into a Kohl's or UPS store, stand in line, and wait for them to process. I chose to print the label, box and drop it off. Not sure which entity has an issue with convenience, is that an Ebay or seller issue? I just know there is not a fee with every return or exchange. :-(

I purchased this curtain for my family room and purchased another set, for dining room. They are gorgeous and they have received plenty of compliments.

What I did like was although the curtains are a bit thicker/ heavier than I expected, they were soft and they hang pretty well. The weight will also help keep its shape. I genuinely love these curtains. I got mine in black and they keep out so much light. I bought a curtain rod from Target that curves in so the curtains are as close to sealed around the edges add they can get without taping them down. If you're getting black out curtains for the "blackout" purpose( not sound or high/ low temperatures) then I'd suggest investing in a blackout curtain rod as well. These are definitely not blackout curtains but most that say they are really aren't. I always hang black panels behind the curtains anyway so it's not a big deal. Nice quality curtains and great color.

I was looking for a Christmas Red curtain for my living room. I get direct sun in the evening so also needed something not very sheer. For the price these are wonderful. Excellent quality and rich color. I used two panels on each side, gorgeous.

Sturdy and the perfect shade of red. They did come smelling like fabric softener for some reason but the smell dissipated after a few days.
