Simple solution for sports

Simple solution for resetting chains. I haven't lost the importance of the chain, I installed it and I tried it HARD on the trainer just to test it.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Disappear

Pros & Cons - Parts & Components

Good - seems to work and is an easy fix to an annoying problem Bad - overpriced (it's a piece of plastic!) and a screw would be much better and easier to use if it was a hex instead of a traditional screwdriver head (also I think this screw will rust)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Something different

NO INSTRUCTIONS! for cycling

There are no instructions for this and there are no instructions on the manufacturer's website anymore. I've seen advice to adjust it forward or backward as well as up or even with teeth on the smallest sprocket. I'm not in the mood to experiment with this item while travelling, and I might return it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Easy to install - Google "Dog Fang " and you.

Completely solved my chain drop problem! Now I can tackle those steep climbs without having to stop and re-attach the chain. Easy to install - google the "Dog Fang" images and you will find a diagram of how to install it on your bike. Be sure to measure the diameter of the seatstays as Dog Fang come in different sizes.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Quality

Doesn't work with frame

The reason for the two stars is that it doesn't work with bike frames and should be stated in the description. "Not for use with carbon frames with extended BB seat tube" like mine. This only applies to frames of the same size from top to bottom. The material is pretty high quality. Lightweight, flexible plastic and easy to install, perfect value for money when it fits your frame as intended.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I think canines are because of their .

A bike has to have either a dog tooth or a chain catcher. Even properly installed/adjusted derailleurs will shed chains from time to time, causing nasty surface damage to carbon fiber or other materials on your bike (true story). I think dog teeth make better chain stoppers than chain catchers because of their solid construction and the way they attach.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Deda Dog Fang best chain catcher

My bike shop made a new Lynskey Helix frame with Campy Chorus suspension. Everything worked perfectly except when changing from a large chainring to a small chain she had a bad habit of popping off inside the small chainring. Very annoying. I've read good reviews about Deda Dog Fang and they're pretty cheap so I ordered one and installed it on my Lynskey. After a few months, downshifting to the small sprocket worked perfectly. It never fell on the bottom bracket once. My only complaint is thatโ€ฆ

Better than 5 stars.

I have a Specialized Roubaix Pro bike with Dura-Ace/Integra components and an FSA crankset. The chain fell horribly inward. Not only under pressure (like in the middle of a hill climb), but also on a flat road in front of a mountain. The bike shop tried and tried to fix it but ended up saying I just had to use a Shimano crank to adjust the rest of my components. Have you ever reviewed the Dura-Ace grip? big money. I bought this little guy after seeing them on pro bikes at TDF and I've neverโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High test results for support and durability
Cons
  • Negative impression
