Fits 2012 X6M: Replacement parts

Perfect fit for my 2012 X6M (yes really ///M). The dealer wanted $1,000. If you notice your car sagging to one side, then it has a leak. Also kills the battery when trying to keep it pumped up for a while (high battery warning gone). Disconnect the negative battery cable, take the wheel off, pierce the old hole to make it easier to pull out, pop in the new air vented one like a joint (I cut the old one off as I installed it), swear as you try to put it back in the top hole and rotate 90Β° (my…

Great alternative to OEM

I bought two to replace worn out air springs on my '08 X5. After reading the reviews about it, I decided to give it a try. Installation would have taken 10-15 minutes per side if one of the springs hadn't caught on the lower arm. Since the car was on jack stands, I didn't have enough leverage to push it. I ended up having to remove the spring and file the part that engages the lower control arm. I had to lower the car and force the compressor to inflate the spring hoping it would engage. The…

Great OEM replacement!

I needed this for my E70 after I had a hole in the OEM bag and was driving with no air in it. I was going to buy the Arnett for double the price since that's what most people get, but decided to give it a try. It's identical to the OEM, it snaps into place and inflates with ease. Looks well made and still works great. I say try. Took me 15 minutes to replace this after removing the wheel, very easy. For those who don't know, here are the steps: - Properly position and support the car and remove

which has great reviews and sells for about $180

At 120,000 miles my 2008 X5 started hissing and sagging in the left rear corner. There was a significant leak in the left rear air spring. A BMW part costs about $350, so I started buying a NON-BMW part. I settled on an Arnott brand nib, which has great reviews and sells for around $180. Installation was easy, the fit was good, and the Arnott part looked and felt the same as the original BMW part it replaced. That was about a year ago. I've now driven about 130,000 miles and over the past few…
