These little bands are great. Have four on each side. For me they aren't the main anchor point for an item in the bed of my truck unless it's light enough and sticking out, but serve as an anchor point for my elastic net to hold the tarp in place or just things from it keep them from being blown away by the wind. .

Bought 4 of these about 2 months ago. All of them oxidized and faded. In addition, rust began to form in the threaded hole, and the rubber stopper that prevented the free rotation of the hinge part dried out and fell off, causing the whole thing to rattle. Considering I paid over $50 for four of them, that's unacceptable. Haven't even used them as bindings yet.

I like the hex rail system and the ability to place mounting points anywhere on the rail. They're easy to install, but there are problems. The tie is on the swivel, which is good, but it dangles and rattles. They had to put some sort of rubber washer between the tie hook and the bar so they couldn't move easily. Of course, you can always take them off after each use, but I want them to stay in place. I went to the hardware store and bought some hard rubber washers from the plumbing department…
