DEERC Drone Kids Toys Operated Review

Daughter loved the drone for about 30 minutes Then it stopped working properly and we found one of the propellers stopped spinning. Unfortunately I bought her well before her birthday and couldn't return her. UPDATE: The company contacted me and exchanged the drone, it works perfectly.

This was my favorite birthday gift for 6 years. We carefully kept him out of reach and only played with him when he asked. We sent it back and forth with hand gestures and it was a really fun toy. And then, after about 2 months, it just stopped working and stopped flying in a stable flight, but just fell to the ground. So, for just $20, we got a lot of playtime. But he was very sad when he "died". I don't want to buy a replacement and can look for a more durable one even if the cost is higher.

The drone itself is great, fun to play with. The charging cable sucks though, it's taped to the end of the USB port and I've contacted the company and the customer service is AMAZING. They replaced the first drone because the cable broke. Received a second time and the drone worked great again but the cable only lasted about an hour before breaking in the same way. What can I say other than I don't know how to rate this. On the one hand it worked as advertised and the kids loved it, on the other hand it worked so well my kids cried. We only had it 4 days and really enjoyed it until yesterday. Then it happened. My oldest son threw it in the air and it never came back. He literally flew away! This drone is very easy and fun to fly. It is not very big and the slats are completely closed. The instructions say to hold the drone in an open hand and then release it (meaning dropping it). However, I have found that in this case it often falls to the ground before the blades have generated enough lift to keep it aloft. To avoid this, I've found that holding the drone at chest level in an open palm and then tossing it slightly in the air works better. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed flying…

EDIT: I've been contacted by a company who will offer me a new drone or a refund if I delete this review. I think this is ethically questionable, which is why I am leaving this review. I bought it to see if my cats would play with it. The good news is yes they will, they hunt this thing with impunity. The bad news is that thing is junk.
