Zester worked fine for me. It quickly produces lime zest, quickly processes a block of parmesan, and makes fantastic minced garlic. At first I was concerned about the length, but it greatly increases speed and ease of use. Cleaning is easy: rinse quickly and scrub with a sponge (do not turn over unless you need the sponge tray).

We've been using a traditional citrus grater for decades. Our son convinced us to invest in this Cester. Wow! There is no comparison. I use this for parmesan cheese. This is fine for large blocks, but if they come in smaller pieces, they'll cut into ribbons. I'm a very tech-savvy, non-clumsy person. Trust me you don't want to get this for cheese or small groceries that you need to store. It would be nice if there was something like a cheese vise. I had very uncomfortable, bloody sores on my knuckles.

I love the quality of this cheese/zester grater. It has a good grip which makes it easy to handle. There is a small rubber cylinder around the bottom frame that keeps the grater from slipping when it's on the surface. The grater itself is made of stainless steel and comes with a protective plastic cover that fits over the grater for clean and safe storage. I haven't had it that long, but it seems sturdy and durable.
