Rejuvenate Old Lot

I have an older rosin core solder, we are almost 20 years old. It works, but you can definitely tell it's not leaking anymore. Just a small amount of this paste and the solder is like new again. Just what I needed for low voltage DC wiring projects.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • I don't remember

Didn't know it worked that well!

Not sure about the quality of Flux? Who knows what's good and what's bad, I'll say I soldered some wires with it and I have to say it improved the soldering ability a lot, I was impressed. If you solder. Don't do it without some flux and the price was great and shipping was on time.

Not a deal breaker though.

The lid of the jar was not closed properly and when received enough product was leaking from the package and it was in the box with other packaged goods. Revain took care of the problem very well but this could have been avoided by shrink-wrapping the container. I am giving 3 stars because Revain took care of replacing the product for me. Haven't used flux yet but it looks the same as the last container I had. As some other reviewers have pointed out, the packaging is different and from a…

Save money!: Solder and Flux

I am very experienced in all types of soldering. This is the most pointless thread I've ever come across. In fact, it almost repels Lot. It has no deoxidizing ability. It actually looks more like beeswax than rosin. If you solder bright, shiny, uncolored copper, this might work. If so, you don't need it anyway. I usually buy more expensive well-known brands from a local supplier. I thought I would try to save some money. Big mistake. If you are planning to solder car wires or any other messy…

Not what I needed Soldering and Soldering Accessories

The way I learned to solder is different from the way people do it today. I solder with flux to coat where I want the solder to flow. I've used the same can of flux paste my whole life, and it's a deep red-black paste that sizzles and smokes instantly when you touch it with a soldering iron tip. After losing it somewhere, I decided to buy another one. I could only find these, white and Vaseline-like. I tried it today, and while the solder is a little easier to bleed onto the wire, it's not the…

Thick consistency, good quality.

Soldering Flux Rosin 50G came quickly from CMT and the paste was very thick. Came in an opaque white box instead of the translucent packaging shown in the photo. The color of the flux is darker than the photo, but this may be due to a different opaque container and photo lighting. One reviewer argued that this is not real rosin and I disagree, but they may have updated the product. The seller contacted me after I received the item and expressed a genuine interest in my satisfaction. Given such…
