Good product for me, no problems at all.

Bought February 21, 2022 for 123k version 7590-6664(i7-9750H/16GB/512GB SSD/15.6" UHD/GTX 1650 4GB/Win10Pro), 24 month basic warranty. I chose for a long time, because I wanted exactly that there was glass on the display (like a macbook and yoga on the entire surface), as it turned out, this is only in versions with oled and ips touch, which is logical. My version has micron RAM and ssd. Visually, there are nitpicks to the laptop when compared as an assembly with a macbook pro and yoga…

Pros
  • 1) stable wifi performance 2) thick aluminum 3) oled display without jambs + eyes do not get tired. 4) performance. 5) fingerprint scanner. Very fast response. 6) the sound of the speakers is quite high quality and voluminous. 7) 2 full usb ports))
Cons
  • 1) battery wear 9% from the purchase itself 2) there are flaws in the body, described in the comments. 3) the price . is too high for such shortcomings. 4) the keyboard is no and noisy, the macbook and the same yoga are many times more convenient and better 5) there is no webcam . they could at least put it on 2 mpx 6) carbon is too easily soiled, collects prints.

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

I bought a laptop for a lot of money, it turned out to be defective. The official representative claims that this is normal.

Pros
  • Excellent hardware for the money
Cons
  • Some kind of incomprehensible stripe on the screen, and the DELL service center said that this is normal. Now we have to reconcile.

For my work (software development) fits very well. I would like a more comfortable touchpad and a matte screen, more USB ports, Ethernet and a second m.2 connector. Power Limit is strictly set by the manufacturer, the processor frequency has never been raised above 4.6 GHz. And the logical question is, why then overpay for i9? Downvolting to -020220V managed to avoid temperature throttling, but it didn't help much with resetting the frequency. The frequency still drops under load, but now due…

Pros
  • 1. Performance (I have a Core i9 model, 16GB, 512GB). Fast processor and Toshiba NVMe hard drive. Not EVO, of course, but not bad either. There is a discrete graphics card, but it doesn't matter to me, I don't play or work with 3D graphics/video. 2. Autonomy. My model has a large 97 Wh battery. It takes about 6 hours (in fact, I have not yet reached full discharge, but I think it should be enough for a working day). 3. Appearance. It looks decent and expensive when closed and not bad (but not so good) when open. 4. 4K IPS screen. Very bright, contrasting, rich colors. But there are drawbacks (below). 5. Keyboard. I like and dislike her at the same time. PgUp / PgDn / Home / End on the arrows is a plus for me. The missing numeric keypad is emulated using Fn+letter keys, though not labeled on the keyboard. 6. Thin and quite light with such characteristics. 7. It is said to be capable of 130W when charging over Thunderbolt, which exceeds the Thunderbolt Power Delivery standard's 100W limit. I have nothing to check. 8. Thank you for leaving USB-A and a card reader. Despite the fact that 5 years have passed since Cook's statement, there are still very few devices with Type C. I use an adapter and would not say that it is convenient for me. 9. The camera was moved to a standard place, in the previous generation it was at the bottom. 10. There is an auto-adjustment of the brightness of the display under the illumination. 11. Ability to upgrade RAM and SSD. 12. The build quality is on par with MacBooks. The body is rigid.
Cons
  • 1. Overheating. The processor gains 100 degrees in seconds and only then the cooling system turns on. That is, he is good at a short distance, but surrenders at a long distance. 2. Modern standby. The laptop in sleep mode lives its own life, receives and voices messages from instant messengers. It's annoying at night. 3. Keyboard. The keys require pressing at a certain angle, because of which, with the ten-finger typing method, some distant letters are skipped for me. No digital block. 4. Touchpad. I expected more from a flagship model. Very small compared to the MacBook Pro. Pressing requires a fairly tangible effort, and the cursor often goes astray. But you can click the old fashioned way, with a touch. 5. Display with FRC. Pixel flicker is visible even in 4K. I did not expect such a setup in this price category. 6. 3 USB ports (one of them Type C) in my setup is not enough: external keyboard, mouse and USB headphones, and you can’t plug in a flash drive. Bought a dock. 7. No Ethernet. Probably a few are critical, the dock also helped me with this. 8. Power indicator on the cable. The idea, of course, is cool, but it shines brightly all the time, it interferes at night. I sealed it with black duct tape. 9. The charging indicator on the laptop (front) is bright and non-switchable. The instructions say that the Fn + . key combination switches this indicator to the hard disk access indication mode, but it does not work. The disk access indicator in modern models is already dying off, unfortunately. 10. On the side there is a battery percentage indicator, I used it a couple of times, the button is inconvenient. 11. Coil Wine. Loudly audible in the BIOS or at boot. Sometimes it appears briefly during work, the rest of the time it is, but very quiet. The sound is as if the computer has an HDD, not an SSD. It doesn’t bother, but it’s worth writing about, especially since the MacBook doesn’t have this close. 12. Glossy reflective screen with a touchscreen. Good brightness partially compensates for glare, but the anti-reflective coating is so-so. The touchscreen, as for me, is superfluous in laptops.

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

Before that, I bought exclusively Asus laptops. In stock Asus N76 (problems with Bios settings leading to scaling), Asus N750JV (similar problem), Asus N752Vx (does not suffer from a similar problem). The second system on these laptops is MacOS. I decided to add mobility, buy a 15" lightweight laptop. Since the Apple MacBook has an inadequate VAT markup, I had to look for an alternative. I bought it in the fall of 2022. Asus ZenBook Pro UX580 with FHD, with UHD matrices, which was written about

Pros
  • Appearance, weight, build quality, OLED matrix. The fingerprint sensor is located in place, not on the Touchpad, not somewhere on the side, but on the power button, which is logical. Not enough time has passed to write something specific.
Cons
  • The Killer Control Center program did not start, I had to fix it. I meet for the first time with non-working pre-installed programs. The pre-installed McAffe antivirus with a limited subscription had to be demolished. I've been using Windows Defender for several years, everything suits me.

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

First of all, I would like to note that my model (i7 9750H / GTX 1650 4 GB / 16 GB RAM / Full HD) shamelessly rose in price due to the collapse of the crisis, I managed to buy it even before all this, and then, gritting my teeth, for 120 This price is still + - normal, but 150 how much it costs now - too much. If this is your first laptop for studying architecture, then I want to warn you right away that for reasonable money (less than 150) you will not find a laptop that will absolutely not…

Pros
  • I bought this laptop almost a year ago, I want to share my experience of using it as an architecture student, I think it can be useful to many, because I didn’t have enough such reviews before buying :) You can read about the characteristics in detail in other reviews. + - I like the metal case, a practical and beautiful solution. But it tends to scratch, I discovered this after I once took it to the university in a bag without a cover, there was a slight wear from systematic contact with the zipper. So wear - only in a case if you want to keep a neat look. + The weight of the laptop itself is, let's say, light compared to the rest (I tried it with my classmates), but it's hard to carry it with you all day with the charging block. And if you have some other notebooks and textbooks with you, it is even more difficult. And it's easier to carry in a backpack than in a bag. But there are no options here - this is almost the lightest laptop on the market that I found with the characteristics I needed. + - The battery life is really impressive, but here you need to make a reservation - it will work for the declared 16 hours if you set the battery power mode to "Save charge", i. E. the frequency of the processor is greatly reduced. You can safely work in Word, Excel and scroll the browser in this mode, but you won’t be able to work comfortably in Revit, 3D Max, Photoshop, you need a power mode of at least "Optimal Performance". + I like the keyboard, the keys are pressed with a little effort, enough to avoid accidental typing of neighboring characters, but not so strong that you somehow notice it and get tired of it. "Perfect balance" as they say. + The touchpad is made of nice plastic, the finger glides over it as if on ice (in a good way), if there is no way to connect a mouse, it does an excellent job with basic tasks such as scrolling, clicking and gestures, but not in professional programs like Revit and AutoCAD, in them without a mouse. Some points did not fit, continued in the comments.
Cons
  • - The plastic inside, of course, is not 10/10, it collects prints a lot, to erase them, I use a dry microfiber cloth, making an effort, because it is matte, but these are trifles, I think. - Lack of NumPad, sometimes it really is not enough, especially if you need to score a million calculations in the coursework, but over time you come to terms with this drawback. - I saw in some reviews that the laptop sometimes does not wake up and does not respond at all to pressing and trying to wake it up, and so, I confirm, this really happens, but it comes to life after a minute or two. - Recently, something incomprehensible happened - while working on a laptop, it hung tightly, the cursor did not move, did not respond at all, only the backlight that reacted to touching the touchpad signaled that it was alive. I waited 5 minutes - nothing happened, I had to do an emergency reboot. I hope this will not happen again (this was the first time), because I did not save the changes in the coursework for the last 2 hours, it was a shame :(

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

This laptop is from the premium segment, it’s annoying to remove the manufacturer’s jambs from this. But it is really quiet, productive, light and beautiful. I caught myself thinking that having cured all the sores I got a very solid car, but I lost the zest of some unpredictability in it. Yes, in no case do not put him on the bed or something soft - like that. The entire lower aluminum cover is a radiator and air intake all rolled into one. If you have not turned off Modern standby, then even…

Pros
  • A cool laptop in all respects, and if you replace the SSD with a faster one and increase the memory, it’s just a bomb in general. Memory changes very easily, with ssd you need to tinker a bit, but everything can be done. I bought the simplest configuration with an HD display from the USA and upgraded the memory to 32 gigs and installed a Samsung 970 pro SSD. It turned out 2 times cheaper than buying such a complete set from the officials. WIFI is very fast. The full HD display is good, especially after calibration. How to calibrate and the calibration file itself is on notebookcheck. The sound is quite decent. Light and quiet, it is quite possible to work at night. The BIOS has modes for the battery for all occasions, including for constantly plugged into the outlet.
Cons
  • The fingerprint embedded in the power button loves the fingers of office workers. Hardened from work or frost are no longer perceived. The ate software sometimes crashes, especially for the wifi module and the fingerprint. You have to go to the manufacturer's website and download working drivers from there if your wifi module is still working. The Modern standby mode in this laptop did not work out at all, the problem has been described many times. How to disable - search on notebookcheck. Once a week with active use, it suddenly freezes for 5-6 seconds, dies off by itself. At first it's scary. Very unexpected texture of plastic on the inside near the display. If you run your fingernail, it leaves a mark as if you were driving on a nail file. In general, the plastic is easily soiled. Surprisingly, the best way to remove traces from this plastic is with a rag dipped in plain water.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

With all this, on points it is far ahead of all its pursuers in the "thin and powerful" category, serious competitors have not appeared. Before settling on it, I used Razer Blade, ASUS Zephyrus, HP Envy, Dell G7, MSI Creator (I bought it and had to sell it or borrowed it for testing) for half a year - everyone annoys me with something every day. XPS is a cool, reliable machine for many years, which you don’t even notice while working - nothing distracts.

Pros
  • The materials are excellent. I was worried about carbon: I thought there would be wrist marks after some time - nothing like that. Looks like new after six months of daily use for 12 hours. The screen is as close to ideal as possible: bright and matte at the same time; I don't even know where else this happens. It charges via Type-C with an adapter from 65W, although it takes only 65W, and complains that the charging is low-power. You can play games, it is better to set the settings for modern games to medium. It heats up and makes noise very restrained against the background of gaming laptops, but performance is subjectively lower by 20-25 percent.
Cons
  • Build quality is no longer what XPS had 5-10 years ago. In my copy, there is a small light in the corner of the screen (visible only on a black screen in a dark room), the power button is tight and constantly stuck, and the central information diode is crooked. Others have seen backlash touchpads, stronger light on the screen, etc. You do not expect this from the top line of laptops on the market, the main "competitor to the MacBook". Check before buying everything that glows and moves. The sound of the speakers is flat, not very loud and directed downwards - below average, I would say.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Forza Horizon 4 runs at 60fps in FHD on ultra, 34fps in 4K. Has some pros: Tactile carbon is just super, soft-touch, I am also delighted with the tactile sensations of the trackped, before that there was a dell inspiron, this one is orders of magnitude higher. The keyboard is good and comfortable. The 4K IPS display is very bright, I set it to either zero or 10, maximum 20 percent in a well-lit room - there is a margin for the street. The touchscreen works flawlessly, it turned out to be an…

I didn³'t expect the quality to be this good.

There were many laptops, this is the first one on which you can work and play, while the hand does not fall off to carry it around the office or around the apartment. I chose between him and macbook pro 15, influenced the choice: 1. price with similar stuffing in favor of Dell 2. work more friendly windows to corporate solutions 3. games - familiar steam offers a lot more games for Windows

Pros
  • 1. Screen. Very juicy, bright and clear UHD screen. 2. Outrageous performance for such a small laptop. 3. The build quality is at a high level.
Cons
  • It is heated strongly, it is solved by a good stand with additional. cooling.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

A laptop for those who want to use a laptop like a laptop (not from the network), while not infringing on themselves with a lack of performance. For those who prefer to use the laptop outdoors: a bright screen, a large battery and the ability to charge it from a power bank with Power Delivery support via type-C. For toys, it is better to assemble a desktop computer or, in extreme cases, buy a gaming laptop, which, like the stationary one, will be at home and powered by the network (there is…

Pros
  • Screen: Very bright (500nits), good color reproduction (100% sRGB). Full HD resolution is more than enough for 15.6 inches. I didn’t notice the PWM (although they write that it is at 0-20% brightness, but the flicker of 1000Hz is not noticeable in this brightness range) Assembly and materials: the lid hinge is rather tight, not even familiar, the test for a MacBook does not pass :) The bottom and top covers are made of thick aluminum (almost 2mm), there is no hint of sagging. The keyboard also does not flex, being made of carbon fiber. Noise: coolers are not audible at all when the laptop is running (I have not tried it in games). battery: up to 60% brightness and balanced mode lasts 8 hours (when running on integrated graphics) I can also note an excellent touchpad and good sound. The presence of a full-fledged Thunderbolt 3 (4 PCI lanes). 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. A lot of interesting software from DELL
Cons
  • Screen response is not the fastest (not suitable for gamers). The main thing is that it is no worse than the MacBook Pro. The lid does not open more than 130 degrees. Performance: the combination of i5 9300H and GTX1650 is very good, but if we take the price-performance ratio, then in this aspect the laptop strongly drains its "gaming" counterparts from the same DELL company (i7 9750H + RTX2060 for the same money). Price: more than 110,000 for such a config is certainly a little expensive. Very big overpayment for win 10 pro (in my case).

It's not quite what I expected, overall it's ok.

Whoever can cope with the driver selection quest will get a good working car, whoever does not, either does not encounter problems, or they do not bother, or will suffer. I was able to set up a normally working machine for myself, which I was pleased with, but the laptop does not give a reason to relax and presents unpleasant surprises, so I do not recommend buying it. I didn't have that many problems with my old asus.

Pros
  • Very good performance on my tasks: project assembly, UI layouts, etc. I bought a modification of i7 + 32GB of RAM + 512SSD + FullHD. For 15" 4K it's redundant, IPS is more than enough for work, I use it in tandem with a 27" 4K monitor. Good network speed, but there are nuances. Judging by the data, it is possible to finish the memory up to 64GB, which I will try to do a little later (it costs 32GB and there is still a free slot). The cooling system is practically inaudible, only sometimes it wakes up on heavy tasks. Almost excellent build quality and screen. According to statistics, the average temperature of the CPU is 65˚, SSD - 35˚, maximum CPU - 85˚, SSD - 40˚.
Cons
  • Killer Control Center did not start - it says the service is not running, but the data transfer speed is good, scored on attempts to start. I tried to connect a Dell 4k monitor for a long time: I was able to show 60Hz via HDMI, but there were problems with colors and exiting sleep mode, I connected it via a DA300 adapter. The same DisplayPort adapter was able to produce 4K only at 30Hz, which did not suit me at all. After buying a Dell Type-C -> Display Port adapter, the monitor worked in 4k@60Hz mode and everything was fine :) There were also problems with sound drivers - only one version normally switches sound from speakers to headphones, the rest simply do not perceive the fact that headphones are connected. But after a while it finally stopped switching, I installed drivers from Microsoft, lost the ability to set up sound effects, but switching headphones worked (this is more important to me because the built-in speakers are terrible and no effects will save them). In general, Dell drivers are a sad, heartbreaking sight: instead of sleep, the laptop went into hibernate due to one driver, but we managed to find the right version. The Intel video card driver had to be replaced with the version from the Intel website, not the Dell one. Modern sleep is just a huge minus, it drains more than 5% of the battery in 3 hours and goes into hibernate. After the holidays, I turned on the laptop for the first time and noticed that the frame around the screen began to peel off, so I lower the rating for build quality.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I think it's a little expensive, but what can I say qualitatively, everything is at the level of Apple's main competitor. The sound is excellent, autonomy is amazing for a day, if you do not play of course. When you need to, you can play thanks to the video card, most games at 60 fps go well, I no longer need it. I bought it with i5 because it has enough performance and it doesn’t get warm at all. In general, I am very satisfied, I advise everyone who doubts.

Pros
  • Relatively light, very quiet, and most importantly, it works insanely long with such performance. Doesn't heat up. 2 speakers are very well balanced for their size, the sound is also satisfied.
Cons
  • There is no USB-c charger included, it would be quite a fire for such a price.

In general, I highly recommend not messing with XPS. Don't believe marketing promises. Before that, I also had to work on a Dell laptop, but simpler. There, too, was full of all sorts of jokes that darkened life. But others. Some pros: The laptop is assembled quite qualitatively, there is an opportunity to upgrade components. The screen is normal (I have a FullHD matrix). Light weight, looks nice. The system for automatically ating any drivers works well, quite conveniently. Its cons: I hope…

The laptop was bought for full-fledged work and a little play. I haven't tried the games yet, but as for work - the coolest windows laptop, a macbook from the world of windows. Excellent build quality, nothing staggers, no backlash, opens with two hands - for me it's more a plus than a minus. I bought in a complete set with i7 + 16GB + FullHD. All noted shortcomings are features of this model. I took a car that fully meets my requirements. A few words about design. The laptop does not look…

Pros
  • 1. I'm not a designer, 4k doesn't make sense for me on 15.6. Thanks to the FullHD matrix, and not 4k, the laptop has a record autonomy. It is worth noting that the models with the i7 processor are equipped with ONLY a 6-cell battery (97 W). And models with i5 have an option: 3 cells (57 W) or 6 cells (97 W). Therefore, for those who care about autonomy and the i5 processor is enough, you will need to pay attention to which battery is installed. In this sense, it's easier to take i7 and not think - in our retail they don't write such detailed information. As a result, the battery life is around 14.5 hours. More than enough for one day. 2. Full HD matrix. There is an opinion on the Internet that the FullHD matrix in 13.3 models is superior to that of apple and is the best on the market. And in the older model 15.6, it is supposedly very mediocre. I can’t say anything - I’m completely satisfied, no complaints. Color rendition and various shades are absolutely normal, but I repeat, I am not a designer and this is not so important to me. 3. Intel Core i7-9750H processor - 9 generation, 6 real cores, 12 threads. In the case of a laptop, this power is enough for the eyes. I can’t remember now whether I heard the cooling system or not, it is constantly quiet. I will add a review later when I launch something heavy.
Cons
  • 4. Hard disk 512GB SSD. Again, there is a pitfall with a hard drive. Dell completes various batches of these laptops with hard drives from different manufacturers: Samsung, Toshiba, Hynix. It was Hynix that came across to me, it is impossible to track this information at the time of purchase. There are comparisons on the Internet that the differences in speed between Hynix and Samsung can reach 2 times in favor of Samsung. The speed suits me, later I think to replace the SSD with a Samsung one. 5. Bulky charger.

I bought this laptop in an open box for about $970, definitely not cheap but a steal for this particular laptop. This Dell computer was unreliable - low quality

I bought this computer and within 3 months it was stuck and needed tech support. After 8 calls to service, the operating system was reinstalled for me. Problems remained after installing the system. I have lost many documents, lost over 25 hours of my precious time and am extremely dissatisfied with this purchase. I've had three previous Dell laptops with minor issues. I will never buy a Dell product again. Tech support was good but the computer is terrible. I do not recommend buying this…
