An UNSHIELDED speaker keeps squeaking and driving you crazy (eventually) when plugged into a USB monitor.

Actually I would give at least 4 stars - the sound is very good and it is compatible with my good expensive Dell monitor (bracket at the bottom) which is what I wanted - no extra power cord or cables for mine Laptop. BUT (and this is a big problem) when connected to a monitor (as intended) via a wired USB cable. This speaker makes a CONSTANT deep squeak. guaranteed to have you tearing your eyes out in a few hours. If I connect the same USB cable directly to the computer. the task is solved. But

Excellent! best audio and video accessories

I just got 4 Dell AC511 wired USB soundbars and I'm in love with them! I wasn't expecting anything exciting like booming bass and everything but I had a feeling Dell would do it and I was right - they sound great! Better than some parallel versions I've had. The installation process was fairly simple - just unpack, align the tabs on the bottom of the supported monitor and slide to the right to snap into place. Works well with USB line between computer and monitor. Can't do without.

My recently purchased Dell Ultrasharp monitor does not have speakers so I figured this soundbar would be an easy fix. It works well, but with a significant downside: if you are connecting the soundbar to a Dell monitor, you MUST have a USB connection from the Dell monitor to your computer for the soundbar to work in ANY mode. Great soundbar for its purpose.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this but I was pleasantly surprised. First, you need to moderate your expectations in the sense that you're only paying $20. It won't sound any better than the $150 Klipsch 2.0 stereo speaker or other similarly priced speakers. But for the price it does what it's supposed to and sounds great. Some context. I wanted to replace my inexpensive Logitech 2.1 system with something less cluttered. I don't really need powerful sound for my office computer, and if I want better sound quality, I switch to headphones. Luckily my P2715Q was listed as compatible with this speaker. but actually not bad at all.
