The pump works and I'm sure it will continue to work for a long time, but it comes with no installation instructions making it almost impossible to install properly. Also, 3 of the 4 cable connectors were included and 2 broke during installation. Even if you're lucky enough to get the right amount, you probably still have to run to the parts store.

I've only been using it for about 3 months. This is my third pump in 3 years. The first two were from a different brand and a little cheaper. The pump broke on one, the sensor on another, both lasted about a year. This pump seems to have gotten better, but only time will tell. I'm tired of changing pumps so I paid more for this pump but I think it's worth it. If this pump fails after a year, my 5 stars will soon be gone.

I would give this product five stars if I didn't have to cut the OEM wiring harness to make it work. The kit includes a schematic, one more connector, and some pathetic solderless crimp connectors. This is the third pump I have installed on my '98 Silverado, the other two were much cheaper and the fuel gauge worked at neither of them . Work after installation and the pumps were noisy. This pump comes with marine style shock joints that shrink when heated and are extremely quiet. The real plus is that my fuel gauge now works as it should. When looking for a replacement fuel pump, you may notice two COMPLETELY different assemblies designed to fit your vehicle.
