Fits 2005 Honda Civic Ex Special Edition

I bought model 234-9017 b because another reviewer said it would fit their 05 Civic ex se. The part number on the part did not match the one I removed from my car but they looked the same. I went ahead and installed it. The car started fine, but the next day on the way to work the CEL burned out. During lunch I was able to have an emission certificate made. If CEL comes back soon I will update this review. So far I am very happy with the purchase. I drove the car up the ramps to raise the front

Pros
  • Made to fit Exhaust/Fuel Ratio
Cons
  • Everything OK

Buy this, watch YouTube and save tons of money!

Great price. It is also the same brand used by Honda. I removed my old fuel air sensor and it turned out to be the same - that brand - Denso. Easy to install and you will save $200-$350 if you buy here and install it yourself. The entire installation took about 20-25 minutes. super easy. Watch the video on YouTube. One problem solved. If the check engine light comes on, take your car to AutoZone or something and they'll hook up your car for free to figure out what the problem is. This part is…

  • Free for educational purposes

Perfect fit and easy installation on the 05 Civic EX

My 2005 Honda Civic EX SE was giving out a couple of codes; P0134 and P0135. The local Honda dealer said the rear heated O2 sensor was the culprit and charged me $567.73 (the downstream O2 sensor itself was a "special order", $404.73 and would take 2 weeks to ship). After the initial shock I went to Revain and had the upstream and downstream sensors replaced within 2 days. I opened the hood and removed the upper oxygen sensor with a crescent wrench, and then the lower sensor with a special…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I will add later

This Denso product is a drop in exchange of the Genuine Honda parts range in price from $240 to $300. With proper installation and code removal, CEL will disappear immediately after a reboot. IIRC if you have a 2001-2003 Civic EX this is the wrong part as they used a different less expensive on/off O2 sensor in the same location than this Denso wide range A/F sensor that Saturation/lean gradient provides . They're not the same - don't buy an O2 sensor and think you're saving all that money when

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I don't really dislike it, everything is fine
