Photos show brass fittings but what came was plastic. I went back and bought the mount and all the parts separately for about the same price. In my case, I needed 5/16" push-to-connect fittings and used injector clamps, which I would highly recommend in place of worm gear clamps.

This is a good quality item, just wish it was less restrictive. The filter supplied was a Wiks oil filter and did not have the oil temp hole shown in the photos which looks like it could be drilled out. Be aware when buying that you will need to buy a few more feet of hose and this doesn't seem to work well for the Honda as it is limited.

I put this product on the return line from the ATF cooler because my car model only uses a fine filter as the primary filter. Excellent quality that is worth the price. I ended up using 5/16 cord and brass fittings. The 3/8 NPT fittings for the hose ridges that came with the kit were plastic junk which is the only reason I didn't give a five star rating. Beware of the bait and switch! Picture and description show brass fittings with 3/8" NPT x 3/8" thread. You get two cheap plastic fittings that break with every push. This kit was absolute junk! Anyone who installs this with NPT plastic screw connections will cry out in great anger after a few months of use. Please go and buy brass fittings. I bought it on EBay about 6 months ago. Installed on my truck I liked the idea. I got one from Amazon and it's a few bucks more than the eBay seller but it had other items so I'm ordering it to fit another truck. This kit has plastic fittings instead of the brass fittings shown in the ad. I went and punched through the brass fitting to get the job done right. Why do all the work just to use inferior parts? The standard filter on my 92 HDJ81 isn't very effective at sorting out anything other than large pieces of metal, the external filter gives the extra protection I was looking for, now I can change the filter every 10,000 miles or so. and keep and keep it clean from any contamination. I have a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 5.4 engine and a 4R100 transmission. I've owned it since December 2003. I wish I had many years ago. First, the tubing included in the kit is 5/16 ID.
