Perfect Fit - Replacement Parts

I used this on my '06 Ram 3500. Perfect fit. I read the reviews and I don't understand what the problem is. Maybe they didn't replace the screw in the valve body as expected?

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

does not fit in Derale fry pan

Does not work on my 2001 Ram 2500 as advertised. Hit the bottom of the new cymbal it should work with. Likely to work with a standard deep pan that doesn't have air hoses built in. Will not work with this pan due to air cooling tubes.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Do not attempt to use with BD Diesel 48RE Oil Pan

Machine runs well and all bolts supplied fit perfectly. But this extension does not work on 48RE with BD diesel sump. Went into the cooling fins on the inside of the oil pan with about 1/4 inch clearance between the oil pan and the transmission. There are no problems with the product itself.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Guard

Derale makes great products!

Works great, everything corresponds to the description. I have a Derale low gear box on my 2006 Dodge 3500 and didn't originally have it. It's not necessary unless you ride a lot of steep climbs or inclines (oil pickup may be compromised). I ended up setting this up thinking it might help a bit with the trans temp since it would rise off the bottom of the pan.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not everything fits

This will make the plate more flush and flatter to better seal the o-ring.

Ps. ? I looked at 3 different brands of filters? No three bolt hole filters! Do you need to drill a third hole to mount the existing screw head in the VALUE case? In this way, the plate forms a more uniform and flat surface to ensure a better seal of the O-ring. They ensure that the rubber clothing on the new filter seals properly and doesn't leave a dirty sea of oil behind, and also doesn't bind the device in a corner! I'm just trying to help future people buy it. your products! ! Have a niceโ€ฆ

Will not work with Derale pan 14210.

Will not fit MY 2006 Ram 3500 with A727 (48RE) gearbox and Derale pan 14210. I don't know why but the bottom of the filter was interfering with the pipes inside the 14210 by about 1/8 inch. I don't understand why specify a block that lowers the filter to that position. I would leave maybe 1/4 or more of the nominal gap. It wouldn't hurt the capture point at all. So, ON MY RAM, if the block was 3/4" thick instead of 1" as is, it would work. Big. I sent it and the palette back. I'm sure of whatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Don't waste your money

This is totally useless. It must first be modified to properly fit the valve body. The third hole is to use a long screw hole in the valve body. Unfortunately none of the supplied screws fit. They are either too long or too short. So I drilled a hole for the extension to sit flush with the head of the hanger bolt. It worked fine. Then I tried to unscrew the Derale 14210 transmission deep oil pan, the extension is too thick and the filter hits the cooling tubes in the oil pan. I read reviewsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some errors

Despite many negative reviews I've read, the pan fits perfectly. I haven't had a problem and I have a theory as to why others have it. The filter extension is held in place by 3 screws, but only two are used for the filter itself (which goes through the filter extension). To fit the 3rd bolt you will need to remove the valve body bolt and use a longer bolt instead. People probably think that there is no need to install a 3rd bolt because the filter is only held by 2 bolts. Extracting the valveโ€ฆ
