This item was exactly as described. At first I thought I got the cheap plastic hardware that others have described. Then I opened the bag. Once in hand, I noticed that the hardware was black anodized metal, not plastic. Great article.

I need 3/8" brass hardware and the kit comes with 1/2" anodized aluminum hardware . The sizing issue might be my fault, but the brass hardware is clearly visible in the picture. Aluminum doesn't work for me.

Came with crappy plastic fittings not brass like the pictures. I found out why when I replaced them with brass, the block peeled off on both sides and even flowed with teflon tape. I even used Permatex as a last try and it's still leaking. Wouldn't trust this to filter out a bucket of warm Pi$$. The effort of an RMA is not worth it.

Not sure I'll leave this one. The hose fittings I received were plastic, not brass as pictured or aluminum as many reviews state. The plastic hardware makes it useless unless I buy brass. The additional cost is equal to or greater than that of the more expensive remote filter housing. I'll decide if I can find inexpensive brass fittings.

No problem for me. I used this to add a filtration system to a cargo wash at a port. As others have said all the hardware is aluminum and not brass as shown in the photo. The filter base is a flat plate on the bottom, so it can handle different sizes of filters as long as the threads match. I use it with the ac delco PF61E filter, also available on Amazon.

This kit comes with everything shown in the photo, no bait or switch. Machine performance on the mountain is good but not great. If you intend to use it for an actual remote oil filter fitment, especially on a sports or racing engine, be prepared to clean the intake and exhaust ports as these and there still have work to be done on the machine many very sharp edges. In my case I used it as a filter holder for washing parts.
