I kick myself for not buying them sooner!

Here in Florida, humidity spoils spices, condiments, dehydrated stock, sugar, rice, flour -- just about anything in the cupboard except canned. I can't believe I haven't thought of buying them yet. I kept opening spice jars to find a hard lump at the bottom, then ran away mid-cook to buy more. The 3g size fits a standard spice jar when not full (see image). At this price (less than a cent each) you can't afford not to use them to keep your expensive condiments and other dry foods fresh.

Affordable Packaging, Best in Category Laboratory Supplies

I bought them to store shoes, but I don't use them only for that (in storage boxes, in bags, wrapped in napkins and put in open chip bags to crisp them up hold etc.). They were not in plastic bags like in the photo, but made of breathable non-woven fabric. Some reviewers have complained about the plastic so the manufacturers may have decided to change the packaging but I bought this expecting plastic. Plastic bags work!

I also received the beads in plastic bags, not the breathable bags shown in the photo. I was skeptical (of the product and the skeptics) so I ran some tests. I put the bag in an airtight container with some water, being careful not to let the bag touch the water. After 3-4 days they start to turn green.
