Excellent insulation! Worth the price.

Lightweight carpet - very good insulation. I've used this on my vintage firewall and it looks and feels good. It is easily cut with heavy duty scissors and attached with spray adhesive.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So far so good

I applied foam and my feet are like this.

I have a foam layer with Uxcell 394mil 10.76sqft Car Fender Thermal Noise Insulation Soundproof Mat for 40 x 40 inch engine and now my feet are much warmer and nicer when I drive in winter.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • So so

Still the best way.

Overall a great and fairly easy setup. The only thing involved is wearing disposable clothing, a mask and a hat. Spray adhesive for sticking penetrates everywhere. Had to order 4 boxes too. I wish they had bigger boxes. But honestly the best.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Good but not great

Perfect for car upholstery!

I put this material on top of a Noico 80mil sound deadening material before putting my new carpet on top and it's amazing. It made my car floor soft, plush, and warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It was also a nice addition to my sound deadening material and the perfect finishing touch before installing my new carpet.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good product! to Body

Inexpensive and extra burlap padding under my replacement carpet for my '98 Ford Explorer. It also made the cabin as quiet as my new cars and also helped keep the truck cool. I'll probably use this in my classic car when the time comes. A sharp blade is imperative, my Stanley box cutter didn't do the trick, and ordinary kitchen scissors won't do either.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Working Speed

Not what I was hoping for.

I hate to write a negative review because I like other DEI products but they led me to believe they had some sound deadening properties but in my simple tests they didn't. I have used most of the best sound and heat management products (all made in the USA) in various builds and needed heat protection over the engine hatch, also was hoping for sound insulation but all of these can help for moderate heat issues. , low sound absorption and decoupling, but I can see ZERO soundproofing performance.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

Toxic by inhalation when cutting

There were no warnings or precautions regarding cutting hazards when using the product. I had a severe asthma attack after cutting about 30 inches. I didn't realize the material was partly fiberglass.

Pros
  • Fit Type: Universal Fit
Cons
  • No Performance
