As a cigarette lighter it should work fine. It's mediocre at best. Filled with premium lighter fluid, one of the two burners caught fire. Fiddling with the tricky setting will cause the 2nd burner to ignite, but as a soft blue flame rather than a jet. Reset and adjust the gas supply 2 more times before it really started to work. However, when I use it, sometimes it's a perfect double jet and other times a jet and a soft jet.

The flame is not as strong as I would like, but not bad. I almost returned the thing because it didn't light up until I realized it had some air in it that needed to be vented first. So I poured out the butane I poured in, used a small screwdriver to bleed the butane and air/air mixture - anything it takes to depress the valve where the gas enters should work - and that Topped up with butane and everything worked fine. A flame appeared before the release of air, but then quickly disappeared…

Having owned/used the Windmill brand I'm not impressed with most other windproof butane lighters. However, I found it to be an exceptionally good substitute. Sub-zero temperature (with slight warming). The refills are immaculate - as with all butane lighters, of course, remember to empty them first. The twin jets were pretty smooth right out of the box. The adjustable flame is easy to set up with the included tool. The tool is also very useful for blowing. Although the lighter may seem bulky…
