Detroit Axle Passenger Bearing Assembly Review

Very happy with it. I saw all the negative reviews and didn't dare to buy but I really need a wheel bearing. I installed them maybe 6 months or more ago and haven't had any problems since. - Update 6/2020 - Still going strong so far, no noise or wheel bearing failures.

They fit perfectly, they arrived undamaged and on time. Nothing special to say about the wheel bearing setup, but the ABS sensor fits my Avalanche perfectly. And I immediately notice the difference between my bad bearing and the new one. I've seen good and bad reviews but I gave it a try anyway. I'm glad I did, now my truck can go another 300,000 miles lol.

I ordered a pair of 2x4s and was pleasantly surprised to receive the package a day before the estimated shipping date. Installed the same day, so far so good. The ABS lights did not come on and the ride seems back to normal compared to my old worn out hubs. I have read many reviews about them being short lived and many of them had no problems. So time will tell how they hold up and I'll be sure to update them in a month or two. -1 star for the packaging as the boxes containing the actual hubs…

I had a lot of Detroit Axle brake parts and a front rebuild kit. The front end rebuild kit lasted as long as I expected (the ball joints were a bit loose after 18 months of hard daily riding) but the brakes never let me down and were great quality. However, they were damaged. One of the bearings had a bad wheel speed sensor where it bolts to the hub assembly. Luckily I was able to remove the faulty wheel speed sensor and luckily one of the wheel speed sensors on the hubs I was replacing failed.
