Devialet Phantom Reactor 900 Wireless Review

This item is overpriced. For €600 that would be reasonable. The sound is just ok. It's better than the Apple HomePod, but way behind the KEF LSX, which is just $100 more. I think it would be a cool house party speaker but that's about it. Looks good, moves with the bass and gets louder. I see it more as a luxury item than an audiophile product. You pay extra for style and marketing.

Update 2/13/20 - I now have two for stereo pairing and it's more amazing than I could have imagined! I am very happy with these little speakers that sound so great! I love listening to them. Great sound and really incredible for its size. I have a high end main system from Martin Logan, Pass Labs etc and am an audiophile with 40 years of experience. To be honest I had my doubts given its size but was pleasantly surprised. The initial setup was very easy and up and running within 5 minutes. Incredible build quality. Definitely give it at least 10 hours of music before listening seriously as it was fairly flat when it first started up, but as we listened you could hear the bass…

This unit is definitely unconventional in the sense that it produces an incredible amount of crystal clear sound at any volume in such a compact package. Bass response is certainly remarkable given its size. After a month of joy, I finally bought the Devialet Phantom Gold.
